These days, however, it seems as though people are only too glad to stay idle when they witness crimes or accidents or tragedies because they are too busy filming them. A few months ago, a girl recorded an attack by Lagos teens on a man with special needs. Not only did she fail to dissuade the attackers from their actions, she turned the camera on herself, presumably wanting to be part of the show, which she was broadcasting on Facebook Live.

Shortly after that, a 13-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by three men in an incident that was also streamed on Facebook Live. According to the police, 30 people viewed the incident online but none of them contacted authorities.

Perhaps on some level this is easy to understand. We watch all sorts of things on our screens each day that are staged or fake. And if you’re into watching girls getting raped, there is a multibillion-dollar porn industry ready to cater to your needs. If people have lost track of the difference between fantasy and reality, we can’t be surprised.

Years ago...the GO of deeper life ..adviced his members against media especially television. His claim was that TV will make wrongdoings comfortable for us....
And that's what it is today....things people frown at years ago is now a norm...because media makes us used to it.....media pumps it into system.. a gory pic of a murdered man on nairaland no longer bugs people..infact we rush to see it...cos movies have made it almost the same...
It's sad how the world is going to shiiit....and media is playing a dark role in making us comfortable with it.
There are now people clamouring new ideas of no gender, claiming they are neither women or men and fluid gender,I.e they can be either a man or woman on wateva days they flow into ..and it's a crime if u call them a gender they don't identify with..before we know...the sad thing is the Govt is in support...it will enter Nigeria's media and become a thing.....
There has to be saturation point, but Sadly the universe is too paitient....but I'm sure though that humanity will destroy itself before we even reach the saturation point
