What Do You Think? by NewHere(m): 9:36am On Aug 06, 2010 |
A friend of mine have been dating this girl for almost 4yrs now, the guy is working but the girl is still in her final yr in IMSU or so, the guy have asked the girl to marry him, but the girl is saying that she wants to finish school and also want to work for like three yrs before settling down. Now, the guy is worried thinking he might loose the girl. whatz your take on this? |

your friend should grow some balls and stop being an insecure brat. this gal is right about what she wants. who would want to get married without an education or some working/life experiences. your friend can either accept it or get on with is life. . . . . alone! |

He's lucky he has a great girl. A woman who wants a career, a woman who wouldn't be a liability after marriage. An educated woman, someone who knows what she wants. He better trust her, and wait for her. |

Actually, he sees reasons wit the girl, but, u know girls and how they do things, he is thinkin that if he doesn't get her committed now, he might loose the babe. |

@rokiatu , the girl is sayin after school, she wants to work for like 3yrs (She is in her final yr + NYSC + 3yrs work = 5 yrs). Dont you think he might loose her? |

New_Here: i believe that this is the wrong way to look at it. "forcing" someone to commit when they are not ready is just wrong and a disaster waiting to happen. if he looses the gal while waiting for her then they were not meant for each other and better they breakup now than when they are married. btw: dont you see how insecure what you wrote sounds?! |

Funny how people are always talking in the third person on NL and still manage to provide all the answers Anyway, if that girl is his, nothing will take her away from him, he just has to relax and let the girl do what she has to do! |

If they trust each other, communicate properly, understand and know each other. . .they should be fine. |

While its good not to force one to get committed we should forget about d future implication of our present action. What if d girl decides to call it quit. Have u guys considered d psychological implication? Have faith u may say but for how long. Have u bothered to ask about d age of d young man who may in future turn into an "old man". Well this may sound odd but then the future and psychological cost should be considered. |
