On another thread Amaechi is cross that the Chinese are not speeding up on the Lagos Intercity rail line due to the insufficient hands they have on the job and the delay in receiving critical components.

Put these two scenarios together: Government wants our youth to invest their time and treasure in gambling, while the same government gives the jobs of providing critical infrastructure to those who are apparently either not willing or donot consider it important.

Vision will integrate the two. No nation develops by outsourcing its critical infrastructure. No society can develop if its youth are not at the forefront of developing its critical infrastructure. How our leaders are so blind to the obvious baffles me completely. We can build Nigeria and end unemployment in one fell swoop if we just tweak a little the way we think in this country.

How are our people going to learn the basic values of hardwork and productivity if we continue with this model of rent seeking. Pity.
