The Senate was scheduled to reopen tomorrow to deliberate on Buhari's suspension of the CJN.

There were credible intelligence that APC Senators were planning to disrupt proceeding and create chaos for DSS to interfere like Amechi did in Rivers leading to the lock-up of the Rivers House of Assembly.

Saraki dribbled the APC and approach the Supreme Court for interpretation.

This technicality now allows the case to be heard at the Supreme Court at first instant instead of challenging outrightly the power of the President to suspend the CJN in Federal Court.

With this move, Saraki eliminated the long time it will take to hear and conclude on this case based on experience of what happened in Kwara during his tenure as Governor.

This move also removed the pressure from Senate and placed it on the Supreme Court who will set a dangerous precedent should they interprete it to favour Buhari. This will automatically stripped the judiciary of their independence and place them at the mercy of the Executive.

With the sentiment currently in favour of the CJN, and the NJC rejection of Tanko as CJN, the Supreme Court justices are likely to declare Buhari's action as unconstitutionally specifically to protect their independence.

This landmark verdict will water the ground for Buhari's impeachment now triggered by judicial process.

Even if APC blocks the impeachment, but two things are certain:

1. The CJN will resume duty as the constitutional CJN of Nigeria.

2. The battered image of Buhari will be further battered before the international community.

Whoever adviced buhari gave him a wrong one probably out of haste .

Saraki is wiser here and seems to be doing well in preserving democracy than buhari who doesn't care what his actions will bring
