Can someone be promoted to DIG from CP without going thru the rank of AIG?
Yes. CP can also be appoint as IGP. The most senior rank in the NPF is CP, after that any other rank is appointment (i.e AIG, DIG & IGP). That why AIG can be promoted to the rank of IGP without be promoted to DIG first. Hope u understand?
