Buhari has made so many bright minds shallow in thoughts in this country.

I do believe SERAP is absolutely spot on on this issue. Granting amnesty 2 people who stole is uncalled 4. It sends a very wrong message, which is u are free 2 steal. Eventually, u would get amnesty. Its wrong.

I wonder how many so called looters have been charged and jail in this current adminstration. Is it not better to tell us that the looters have been granted amnesty than just hind them under the umbrella their political party and they become saint.

They send looters to jail all the time, the fact that you don't know or you don't follow current affairs doesn't mean looters are not going to jail.

2 former governors bagged jail sentences under PMB and they defected from PDP to APC so your becoming saints after joining the APC talk is just rubbish lovers of crooked and corrupt people like you love to litter the internet with.

It's unfortunate that many hear but very few LISTEN
Atiku was refering to past looters returning their loot so as to feed funds to the economy not to accomodate looters who will attempt to loot

They just want a working country
What idiagbon did in the 80's can't work now because times change
U can't just go hounding ppl and then ignoring ur own corruption and say u are fighting corruption

Better .. I rather steal my father's money and use to train my siblings Than steal and nothing happen if am his best pal, thereafter useless his hard earned money...

If all APC are under thorough scrutiny one wouldn't have questioned PMB corruption integrity ...

Remember when the looter re-invest the citizens smiles and the citizens smiles criminal acts will reduce.. so fight of corruption without job creation brought about what we're passing through today.

This is what I have been advocating for even as an individual, if elected president today, i will grant this people (looters) amnesty, ensure the money is return perhaps used in investment, give them time frame to comply, then close up the loop holes. Very simple.
You cannot be chasing people in the name of fighting corruption, while in your bosom are master looters.

To me as individual, this is the best method.

there is no justifiable reason for that, if a man who stole 500 Naira because of hunger will be cooling of in prison why will a public/civil servant who stole billions out of greed be pardoned.
Is this how China, USA etc survived and sustained growth?

What happened to all the people APC/Buhari claimed to have returned their loot? Since they are not in jail, would that not be a form of amnesty?

PMB method did not yield any positive result till date...
It is justifiable as long as,
- Looted fund is re-invested in the Nigeria economy...
- To create jobs for over 20.9 million Nigeria that are currently unemployed...
- To address the extreme poverty in the land by creating jobs..

Lastly, it will take PMB 7 lifetimes to successful prosecute any top looters in Naija .....
From Saraki, Dizeani, Dasuki, Suswam, etc in the opposition ......
Not to talk of Tinubu, Amaechi, Akpabio, Babachir, Maina , Ganduje etc ......

Grant amnesty to who? Is it Atiku that told SERAP or SHARAP! such? And by the way has court not granted Dasuki bail did buhari listen? so if Atiku effect the court order by allowing his bail to be perfected according to the court order now means Atiku is planning amnesty to Dasuki or what?

Apc and SERAP or SHARAP go and sit your
a s s somewhere abeg. And by the way who are the looters? Pls where is Obanikoro, Where is Omisore, Where is Akpabio, Where are Amaechi, Meina, Oshiomhole, Ganduje, Mr grass cutter, Daura, Baru of NNPC, Aisha Buhari, Fashola? etc the list of apc looters is endless.

SERAP or SHARAP should go and kill themselves where were they when the name mentioned above are being protected by Buhari government? I guess this lousy SERAP or whatever want to play that bastard called Sowore or Soweto of Sahara desert game who was used by apc against Jonathan and pdp which now ends up plunging Nigeria into gully of pain and sorrow and now Soweto or whatever is now coming to be the president I guess he is mad anyway.

People just talk without understanding what amnesty means, if they are willing to support the country in a positive way he MAY consider instead of putting the lives of the citizen under threat

feddis:
Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, SERAP, has countered presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party,PDP, Atiku Abubakar over plans to grant amnesty to corrupt Nigerians if elected president.

Atiku said he may consider granting looters amnesty provided they are willing to reinvest their loot in Nigeria, thereby creating jobs.

The former Vice president said this on Wednesday while answering questions on ‘The Candidates’, a presidential town hall co-production on the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).

But, SERAP , reacting in a post on its official Twitter handle condemned Atiku’s plan to grant amnesty to looters.

According to SERAP, the corrupt must be held accountable and not escape justice.

The post read: “Dear Atiku, granting amnesty for corrupt persons will exacerbate impunity for corruption in Nigeria.

“SERAP Nigeria will challenge any such amnesty if it’s ever adopted as a policy, should you be elected into the office. The corrupt must be held to account, and not escape.”

Wait ooo, you really believe you are going to be part of the global economy? Abi you are dreaming? Ok, what are you going to sell in the global market place?

Global economy means countries trading big with each other and reciprocating each other's trade. What exactly is Atiku going to create or manufacture that you are going to sell?

So you want to wish away tribalism abi? Get some sense. Anybody who tells you that he lives in a society where there is no discrimination or tribal thinking is lying. I am a Yoruba man, you are Igbo those are PRIMARY facts. Yorubas do not live in Igboland but Igbos prefer to live in Yoruba land - again primary facts. We have to work at reducing the IMPACT of tribalism on the general society. Igbos are queuing behind Atiku principally because of OBi.

Look at our country yourself with critical eyes! The only hope we have of survival is Agriculture and agricultural outputs. That's the only way into a portion of the global economy, we don't have anything else.
