This thing pains me and makes my blood boil. This is not funny. Why do broke couples and irresponsible individuals give birth to children that they can't take care of? I think it's immoral and people should cut their coat according to their size. Is it a good thing to bring a child to this world to suffer? Despite the fact that no one owes anybody anything, broke fools still go ahead to give birth to children that they can't take care of and more annoying is that they go begging people for money to pay school fees, hospital bill, food, clothes etc. for these children. Did they give anyone money to keep for them? Many of them don't even give birth to one or two, it's five to six. Wetin?

Harsh truth is that this habit of giving birth to many children is one of the root causes of poverty and suffering in this world. In developed countries, these set of people after giving birth to many children will think capitalism is their problem and the reason they couldn't afford hospital bills for their children . They then start looking for socialism, dreamers. How can you give birth to children that you cant take care of and expect doctors to deliver your baby for free. Are you mad? Are the doctors your father? Did you train them in school? So doctors will not eat because it's your baby? The money you refuse to pay would have been used to keep the hospital running and provide quality health care for others. Doctors are not wicked when they detain your wife and child or demand payment before treatment instead you are wicked for giving birth to children that you couldn't take care of.

Some of them can't even send their children to school but send them to learn trade and business. I am not saying that business and trading is bad but what if your child has passion for academics? What if that's what the child is only good at? Trading and business is not for everyone. Make money so that you can give your children many options and if at the end of the day they desire business or trade, let them. If you say "well the children wouldn't be lazy and they would work to train themselves in school," why are you poor then if it is easy to raise money and meet your needs? Mtewwwww.

I am not saying that you must be rich as Otedola or Dangote but at least, have that stable means to meet your child/children needs. You can be living in one room but if you have the means to take care of your children and give them options then carry go. So boys and girls, this nonsense must stop. Marriage and childbearing are not do or die affairs and does not mean you have achieved and arrived. I am sure that my great grandfather married and gave birth to children but where is he? Who remembers him? Who he epp?

ops the same concern has been running through my mind. i even have to guerry my mum when i was 15 years when she gave birth to her fifth son, as in why most them have to give birth to that number of children knowing fully our generation is different from theres. now, the buck of responsibilities is on top my head as our dad died 15 years ago leaving her with 7 children without any source of income.

There isn’t really a one size fits all answer for this but the most common reasons are a lack of planning, lack of education, their religion being against contraception, boredom, having children as a form of ‘joy’ to curb misery, having ‘more hands’ to help out, natural urges always triumphing over ‘birth control being expensive’ lol, etc

Some actually see as future investment; give birth to six children at least two go hammer. There used to be a family living in the next house after mine, the family was made up of father, mother, eight children and one grand child whom the first daughter gave birth to out of wedlock.
