Is It Advisable To Go Back To Dubai? by Obimek: 11:25am On Aug 23, 2010
Hi NLs!
Was once a student in Ukraine. After completion of my study in Ukraine, I had to come back to Nigeria, as there is nothing much there. I choose Emirate when flying back home. We(Me and 2 other of Nigerian students) first landed in Dubai as there was no direct flight to Lagos. The next day we were to leave for Lagos, the Dubai airport staffs detained me. I was so surprise as they delayed only me while they left the other two nigerians. They say they need to check my passport after which they will let me go. I could not understand them as they were not speaking english. After checking they escorted me to a location I would call prison during which they detained me for 6 days before letting me go. Would say it was hell of an experience for someone just graduating from school abroad. They even wrote on my passport that I should not enter Dubai for the next one year. It has been like 7 years now since that horrible experience.
I am currently thinking of traveling to Dubai.
Plz NLs my questions are
1. is it advisable to make that adventure? I'm really scared of Dubai.
2. Is there any way I can find out what really happened.

If u have any program there feel free to travel. It must have been their experience with nigerians that caused that delay. Good Luck!

7 YEARS AGO NIGERIANS MADE MESS OF THEIR AIRPORT, AS DEY DO VISA CHANGE IN D AIRPORT INSTEAD OF FLYING TO DOHA OR MUSCAT,THEY WAIT IN D AIRPORT FOR DAYS N WEEKS EVEN SUM MONTHS IN DAT TERMINAL 1 AIRPORT,AND MANY SCAMMERS SENT MANY PEOPLE TO DUBAI WITH FAKE VISAS,UN GETTING THERE THEY DON'T ALLOW THEM ENTRY AND THEY STAY IN THE AIRPORT,
THIS DUBAI IMMIGRATION ARE CRAZY SUMTIMES EVEN U WEY NO DO NOTHIN DEM FIT WELAY U, SINCE ITS ONLY 1 YEAR BAN BY NOW IT WOULD AVE BIN REMOVED, BUT SUMTIMES DEM FIT WRITE ONLY 1 YEAR WHILE THEY BAN U FOR LIFE, DON'T THINK THAT IF U APPLY UR VISA AND IT COMES OUT THAT UR BAN AS BIN REMOVED, THEY ARE THIEFS IF U APPLY VISA AND UR VISA COMES OUT U MIGHT STILL BE BAN IN THEIR SYSTEM JUST FOR U TO PAY FOR VISA AND WAISTE UR TICKET MONEY,
I ASKED U A QUESTION WERE UR FINGER PRINTS AND EYE SCAN TAKE THEN, MY ADVICE IS DIS SINCE U ARE GOIN ON HOLIDAY TRY GET UR SELF SINGAPORE OR MALAYSIAN VISA TOO INCASE THEY REFUSE U ENTRY JUST HEAD TO ANY OTHER PLACE FOR UR HOLIDAY, STAY BLESSED

In fact sheriff u are God sent!
Yeah they scanned my eyes.
I think I have to open up. After the first day they took me at the airport, I was carried to one of their enclosed area that I know nothing about. There were some other people of other nationalities. After my second day in that place they took some of us to scan our eyes. I taught it was to confirm the passport but they still held us back for like 4 to 5 days, they sent some of us to another enclosed place. Some of the inmates consoled me that they were to release me from there. They did release me but that was after 2 nights. On that final day they took us to the airport where they released my passport. I opened up my passport to find out that there was a punishment for what I know nothing about. I wanted to complain but I taught that leaving that country should be the first thing to do.
