Project site

Our task here, will start from removal of the debris from the demolished building that was in this very site before. My workers are getting ready to resume work and clear the area so we can plant a befitting structure in this very spot.

I have hired some laborers to help me break down this foundation and remove all the debris to the outside of the land before we start this foundation.

This site has been totally cleared of all debris, and we are about to commence foundation excavation works tomorrow morning.

Thanks for the observation Bro, but this land is is very strong, normal Enugu hard ground which can only be tackled with a handpick, not shovel.

There was a building in this very spot, a bungalow with foundation not reaching lower than 600 mm into this ground. What I am doing is to excavate all of the old foundation, reach down a full 1 meter into the natural hard ground before starting the footing pads of this house which will go another 300 mm on all column footing bases.

To illustrate further, we dug below the previous foundation in this land to get to the present column base for the new foundation.

We have started bringing in many of the building materials we need for this work.

Community youths invaded this site immediately I left 2 days ago and seized all the tools my workers were using to work. Our mixed cement wasted and work had been halted in the past two days.

I have gone to their office and collected the tools seized after being made to pay other monies again today.

Till when will Nigerians be made to pay illegal levies and monies that are paid to touts who have nothing to add to the immediate environment, the economy or the world at large? As usual, the government is not concerned about it, the police is even in support of it and the homeowner and contractors bears the brunt of this anomaly.
