If a man has only one building and two sons for instance, does that mean that the land must be divided between the two sons, or will the younger son be compensated with money?

there are proprieties that are inherited by tradition from first son to first son over the generations.
then there are proprieties that a man built himself. these propities can be divided.
a man can also make a testament but only for his personal estate

The first son does not inherit all the properties in Igboland. Not heard of that.
