Beside Yoruba, no other region and people in Nigeria know how to survive opposition politics and thrive against the ruling power in the center. Now that we know who will wield power in next 4yrs, the regions and their states will be trying to align to APC.

I expect APC to win 75% or more of the states. SW is already in APC hands and if there will be any upset it will be in Ogun. I don't think Akeredolu will be so dumb to allow PDP win majority in State Assembly, that could spell doom for him and a possible impeachment before his reelection comes up in two years.

Oyo was like Osun where people loved the party but not the governor and spoke out with their vote....but Tinubu has stepped in and put in place a stop-gap.


In NW and NE, APC will repeat presidential pattern.

NC, Apc will capture 70%.

In SS, Edo and Delta, and possibly Rivers is going to APC.

In SE, Ibos are desperate to join mainstream and looking for the good grace of Tinubu and Oshiomhole so I believe 50% or more will go to APC.

Ohanaeze has endorsed APC in Lagos. This could translate to a home run for them and put them back in position of trust and crebility against the onslaught of IPOB in SE but....they need to accept Tinubu as a godfather first and get his help to create similar political institution in SE like we have regionally in SW. Obi can forget about PDP and defect back to APGA or jump forward and catch the APC train. Its his choice....but I know towards 2023, SE will get a godfather under the tutelage of TINUBU.
