These are fascinating pictures of work progress in the 1MW solar power plant located in the newly established Alex Ekwueme University in Ebonyi state. This is one among the six power plants of same capacity across the nations Universities.

Solar powered street lighting to cover the entire university community.

Personal Opinion
1This was made possible by the swift action put in place by the present vice chancellor of the University, in the person of Prof. Chinedum Nwajiuba. The project was actually billed for another university who was not willing to move with the pace of REA, hence it was redirected to AEFUNAI.
2.The vice chancellor has attracted unprecedented development to the University through his approach to work with his personal motto ( I am in a haste to develop AEFUNAI).
3. The minister of power has with these projects shown that he knows the problem of the University system and at large Nigeria. Isolated power plants of these nature would in great length reduce dependency on national grid and reduce the amount spent on power generation by Universities.
4. President buhari knows the problems of Nigeria. Appointments are not out problems, development.
