VP Osinbajo delivers polling unit as APC leads in Ogun

The All Progressives Congress has won both the governorship and House of Assembly elections in the polling unit of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo in Lagos State on Saturday.
Prof. Osinbajo who voted at Victoria Garden City Main Park Booth in Lagos helped APC governorship candidate, Babajide Sanwo-Olu garner 248 votes.
Sanwo-Olu’s main challenger Jimi Agbaje of the Peoples Democratic Party polled 190 votes. In the State House of Assembly the APC finished with 193 votes while the PDP candidate had 175 votes.
In Prof. Osinbajo home state of Ogun, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Prince Dapo Abidoun also won at his polling unit in Iperu, Ikenne.
Results announced at his polling unit shortly after collation showed that the oil magnate had established a healthy lead in his local government area of Ikenne.
At his polling unit in Ward 3 Unit 2, Ita Osanyin, Iperu, Ikenne, Mr. Abiodun polled a total of 240 votes while his closest challenger, Honourable Adekunle Akinlade of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) got 71 votes.
At the polling unit of Mr. Akinlade, the APM lost to the APC.
Mr. Akinlade who voted at polling unit 010, Owode Ward 1, Yewa South of Ogun state could only manage 83 votes while Mr. Abiodun polled 104.
Results’ trickling in across the State shows that the APC is leading the APM and other parties by a rather healthy margin.
In Abeokuta South, Ward 14, PU 2, APC polled 144 votes to APM’s 59 votes. In Ward 11, Unit 18, Abeokuta North, APC garnered 103 votes to APM’s 40 votes.

Amosun just made himself politically useless.

The more the recent upstarts fail, the more I respect Tinubu's ability to stay ahead despite being out of political office for 12yrs.

Many politicians did not realise that they only got into office in 2015 due to the Buhari wave that swept the country then. It shocked the likes of Gov. Babangida Aliyu of Niger State, who refused to decamp to APC with the rest of the N-PDP, upon calculating that he would be free to contest for the PDP ticket in 2019 when Jonathan concludes his tenure in 2019.

Alas, Jonathan lost in 2015, and Babangida Aliyu also lost his Senatorial bid which he had claimed he was going to the Senate to relax. As 2019 approached, he had become so politically useless that he did not even contest for any position in the PDP.

Senator Shehu Sani too did not realise he became a Senator at the mercy of APC that fielded him. Rather than face his job, he became a clown making banters over serious national issues and engrossing himself with an antagonism of the Kaduna State governor right from day 1. He has now learnt he is a nobody, without riding on the back of Buhari and APC.

Even Saraki was lucky to have decamped to the APC when he did prior to the 2015 elections. Same as Kwankwaso. Both have now learnt that their 2015 electoral success was due to being in APC, and they needed APC more than the APC needed them in 2015.

This is good news to Dapo Abiodun who I think is better than that of APM candidate. Good luck to all of them

What happened in Ogun state had nothing to do with Tinubu or the Apc but the high resentment towards amosun and his fraudulent anti people policies and coupled with the fact that Pdp was extremely weak at the moment else what happened to Ajimobi in Oyo would have happened in Ogun state too
