Two persons were reportedly killed Saturday in a political mayhem at Oba-Akoko, headquarters of Akoko Southwest local government area of Ondo state. Sources alleged that some hoodlums had stormed the community to snatch ballot boxes which led to rampage by youths leaving properties worth millions of naira destroyed including police station and police vehicles. It was during the melee that two persons were shot to death, while the third one with gunshot wounds has been admitted in an hospital. The Police Area Commander for Ikare-Akoko, Razak Rauf, an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) who led a contingent of police to the town to prevail on the people, described the act of vandalization of police property as barbaric. He said investigation has commenced while culprits would be arrested and brought to book. Is there anyone that can imagine what's going to happen in 2023 election? I hope something must be done to disintegrate Nigeria into separate parts or revolution to take place. You don't appreciate what you have until you lose it. Jonathan gave us free and fair elections in 2015 in comparison to this poo. CastedDude:No hoodlums from anywhere invaded the polling unit, they are two APC chieftains named Victor Olabintan a former speaker of Ondo state house of assembly accompanied by Dapo Faseesin a former vice chairman of the local government, the community youth reacted when they protested and one of them was shut dead. IntrovertedK:They are not killing themselves for Nigeria. They are after their own pockets. Aslong as Nigeria pays those crazy amount of money to elected politicians, elections are going to be violent year in year out.
