PDP chieftain, Uche Onyeagucha, causes chaos at INEC centre in Imo


Nigerians were shocked as they watched on Channels Television as the All Peoples Democratic Party agent and chieftain, Uche Onyagocha, tore the certified INEC result sheet of Ideato South Local Government Area in Imo State, which made the officials take an abrupt break in the collation process.

As observed on television this morning, the PDP agent had demanded that the result from the said Local Government Area should not be announced, alleging that party agents were not allowed at the collation centre. But other party agents rubbished this allegation and urged the State Returning Officer, Prof. Francis Otunta, to proceed with the announcement. According to them, what the PDP agent alleged rather took place at Mbaise LGA where the PDP candidate, Emeka Ihedioha, vote was said to be inflated

However, when the returning officer proceeded with the result announcement after consultations, Onyeagucha stepped up and tore the result sheet. This prompted another party agent to do the same to other announced result sheets.

Meanwhile, a source stated that the real reason the PDP agent tore the result sheet of Ideato LGA was because it was clear that the candidate of AA, Uche Nwosu, had won Ideato with a wide margin. Also, the PDP camp was said to have been thrown into panic as signs emerged that Nwosu might win the overall election and be returned as the Governor-elect, following the inability of the PDP candidate to secure the 25% of the votes cast in 18 LGAs of the state, as required by law.

The apprehension of losing was said to have become more intense within the PDP camp as the result from Abo Mbaise was rejected due to alleged over-voting. Out of the results announced so far, Nwosu has won in 5 LGAs, while Emeka Ihedioha’s PDP has won in 4 LGAs. APGA also won in one LGA, while Hope Uzodinma of APC has not won any LGA

Why do you think it's impossible when it's happening. Mind you he is fighting several forces and doesn't enjoy federal might or APC national interest. Let us wait till the final result is announced.

Believe it or not, it's Rochas & that his useless son in-law that's causing this whole mess in Imo state. But my question is, must Rochas' son-inlaw govern the state. What kind of desperation is this.
