Right from 2007 when I first heard about Chief Wole Olanikpekun (SAN) he is very good in defending his clients from a defensive and disadvantaged position. A few cases comes to mind

1. Atiku Abubakar vs FG 2007 - In this particular case he defended Atiku Abubakar in the Supreme Court when OBJ removed him as the VP and got a landmark judgement in his favour where the Supreme Court ruled that the president and his vice are two inseparable twins that the president cannot wake up and remove his vice.

2. Atiku Abubakar vs INEC 2007 - Here the Supreme Court ruled INEC does not have power to disqualify any candidate.

3. Yardua PDP vs Buhari ANPP 2007

4. T. A Orji PPA vs Onyema Ugochukwu PDP 2007 - where in Appeal court PH he upturned the Tribunal judgement that disqualified T. A on the ground that he belonged to Okija Secret society and that he did not resign his appointment as the Chief of staff as at the time he contested for the GUBER election. The tribunal hence awarded victory to Onyema Ugochukwu on the grounds that he scored the second highest number of votes.

6. Osunbor vs Oshiomole 2007 - where he got victory for Oshiomole

7. Agagu vs Mimiko 2007 - where he also got victory for Mimiko.

8. Jonathan vs Buhari 2011

9. Wike vs Peterside 2016

10. Okezie Ikpeazu vs Alex Otti 2016 - Where he upturned the appeal Court judgement that deducted the votes of Ikpeazu and awarded victory to Alex otti

11. Okezie Ikpeazu vs Uche Ogah 2017

12. Eyiteyo Jegede vs Jimo Ibrahim

13. Uche Secondus vs Ali Modu Sheriff

The only two cases I can remember he has lost is Faleke vs INEC and Umana Umana vs Udom Emmanuel.

In Umana and Umana vs Udom Emmanuel he lost because he argued from both sides of the mouth. Having defended Wike by arguing against carder hence there was no way he would have won in the case of Umana Umana by arguing for it again.

In summary I also believe he will do justice to this Osun State Tribunal judgement at the higher Court. He represented Oyetola at the Tribunal stage.

So is Wole Olanikpekun no longer a thief and defender of the corrupt? It was here you guys cursed him for being a lead defender and for daring to defend Chief Justice Walter Onnoghen when the case started.

From my research ikpeazu is a specialist in electoral laws while olanipekun is an expert constitutional lawyer. adenipekun is one of expert lawyer in olanipekun chamber. I do not think olanipekun can do much in this case. osun election is broad day robbery. oyetola is just trying to extend his stay in office to eat more national cake

Go and check who Dr. Ikpeazu SAN is.

The first time an elected Governor was booted out of office was between Ngige vs Peter Obi. The election was rigged by PDP for Ngige against a known party APGA backed by a perceived enemy of state Ojukwu, Dr Ikpeazu won both at the Tribunal and Appeal Court. The case ended at the AC.

Don't forget Ngige was backed by OBJ through the Ubah family and Ngige used to be the personal doctor of OBJ.

7 months later, Peter Obi was impeached by PDP lead Assembly and in 3 months, the judgement was up turned. The first time it was done.

Few months later when Peter Obi was still serving, INEC conducted another election, which PDP again won.

Peter Obi went to court that his tenure has not ended, that the court should interpret when a person tenure starts.

In a famous judgement, Peter Obi's tenure was upheld and the court declared the election conducted by INEC as null and void. Please go and read the arguement of Peter Obi's legal team.

This judgement is the reason many state conducts their election different. If not, if a party rigged and later sacked, the re-instated Governor will complete the remaining tenure and new person sworn-in 29 the May.

Dr. Ikpeazu won all these judgement. In fact, this Ikpeazu was threatened by the FG not to be part of the Atiku legal team.

https://www.vanguardngr.com/2019/03/presidential-elections-atiku-inaugurates-legal-team/

Wole led Oyetola's team, while Olujimi SAN another badass lead APC's team but Ikpeazu SAN defeated them together with INEC's legal team.

Ikpeazu SAN led the INEC team that defeated Wole led joint Umana and APC legal team at the Supreme court and don't forget Udom lost at the Appeal Court.

He also led the INEC team that successfully defended the victory of Umahi at the Supreme Court.

He worked with Wole during Wike vs Dakuku working with INEC led Counsel in the judgment that upheld Wike's election. Wole led PDP's team.

In Ikpeazu vs Otti in Abia at the supreme court, Wole led the Governors team while Ikpeazu SAN led INEC's team and they both worked together in the judgment that upheld the election of Gov. Ikpeazu.

Wole has never defeated Ikpeazu SAN once but Ikpeazu has defeated Wole twice.

People sit down behind their phones and argue preferences - as though matters are not, sometimes, decided in courts by factors which are beyond and above the expertise of a Lawyer.

Win or loose - these guys are simply making their money off politicians... no point arguing online over issues you know nothing about it’s outcome.

The tribunal also relied on technicalities.the tribunal also used outdated methods which were used from 2007-2010 and also in 2015 to nullify abia polls.the supreme court has ruled against all that.you either upturn or upheld not add or subtract

I think you should read the judgement again for better understanding. Adeleke won at the first ballot. So the supplementary was needless. That's the judgement.

Exactly! That was the reason the supplementary was declared illegal cos it shouldn't have taken.
