When a large angry mob takes justice into their own hands. Usually ends with somebody getting hanged, torched or pitchfork'd. A common method of dispensing justice in the more rural areas of a country.

So, what is your take on mob justice?
It's very prevalent in Nigeria and other third world countries. It is not rare to find a dead, tyre burnt body in the streets. the crime of the victim is often a stolen wallet or his sexuality (a caught gay guy etc).
Is mob violence a necessary evil due to lack of reliance on the official justice system or is it unnecessary?

Nigerians are cowards, big coward.
until the day mob justice is metted out to ppl like IBB,OBJ, OGREEDY OMO, ALaMS , ODILI,ATIKU, AND OTHERS, then the meaning of justices is well carried out.
but what do you have for the big thieves, pure glorification in public places, mosque, churches ,even have their praises in songs by popular musicians.
mob justice is only for the small boys and to me those that carried them out are nothing but cowards.

the big thieves are praised while the petty thieves are mobbed by the crowd.
I don't get how people can't see this. or do they pretend not to see it? or are they too scared to go after the big lion and instead choose to chase the rat?

While it is an abominable act, I guess the perpetration has progressed largely due to the failure of the judicial system to dispense justice at affordable costs and speedily too!
