The Asepa coordinator in charge of Ohuhu zone prince Okezie Ogbudu has thanked residents of Ohuhu and Umuahia urban for adhering to the call by government to keep their environment clean at all times.

Addressing the press at Umuahia after the monthly clean up exercise which he observed, he expressed satisfaction with the participation of residents of Umuahia over their efforts at making sure that they kept their environment clean, he said a clean environment is a Healthy environment and that was why the state government under the able leadership of Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu PhD. is making sure that Umuahia and indeed Abia State is kept clean through Asepa, he used the opportunity to welcome them back from Easter holidays urging them to ensure that they dispose of their wastes properly so as to make waste management easier for ASEPA.

Prince Ogbudu assured Abians that the present ASEPA under the agency's general manager Mr. Victor Apugo is determined to ensure that waste disposal is carried out regularly and that the era of wastes littering the streets will be a thing of the past soon, he thanked the Commissioner for environment Chief Aham Uko for creating a harmonious working relationship between ASEPA and the ministry of environment as that has made ASEPA operations easier, he expressed gratitude to the governor for providing the needed logistics that has enabled ASEPA to attend to their constitutionally assigned roles of making sure that Abians enjoy a clean and healthy environment, Prince Ogbudu advised residents to make cleanliness a part of their everyday living and not wait till the cleanup day to be supervised or enforced before they can take necessary sanitary measures.
