AKEREDOLU, TINUBU MEET, RESOLVE TO WORK TOGETHER


The crisis rocking the Ondo state chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC may come to an end soon as Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu may have finally reconcilled with the national leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

Akeredolu and Tinubu fell out in 2016 over the latter’s endorsement of Olusegun Abraham in the September 3, 2016 APC governorship primary in Ondo state. Akeredolu eventually won the primary and was subsequently elected governor of Ondo state without Tinubu’s backing.

Though Tinubu later made a surprise appearance at Akeredolu’s inuaguration, the two men have not really been friends. The move to reconcile Tinubu and the Ondo helmsman was initiated by a former APC national vice chairman southwest, Chief Pius Akinyelure who had made several attempts to bring the duo together but had suffered setbacks until late last week when Akeredolu flew to Abuja to honor Akinyelure’s invitation to meet with the former Lagos governor.

Presenttimesng gathered that the two men met, expressed their grievances and resolved to work together in the overall interest of the party. At the end of the meeting, Tinubu assured Akeredolu that “the war was over” and tasked him on the need to reconcile all different tendencies in the Ondo APC.

On his part, Akeredolu thanked Asiwaju Tinubu and promised to work for the unity of the party.

Ask Bukola Saraki, ask Obasanjo, ask Atikuchukwu, ask ex-convict Bode George, ask Ibikunle Amosun, ask Ayo Fayose, ask Iyiola Omisore, ask Jimi Agbaje, ask Adeseye Ogunleye. Even Yayha Bello that was running mouth like spoilt tap has gone to beg the Jagaban.

Akeredolu the useless betrayer is lucky, he would have been added to political history like the ugly fat foolish Akinwunmi Ambode and his satanic untrained wife. He would have become a bad political history like the disgraced lord of Kwara Bukola Saraki.
