I was in a police station once (don't ask)...and a policewoman came in to give her report...only she looked and was dressed like a market woman.

Another time, I was questioned by a policeman without my knowledge(about an accident case). The guy looked like a manual labourer, was not in uniform, and did not identify himself as an officer.
