Don't surrender your guns. If you own any property in Nigeria, seek one. There are locals that make quality guns, and importers everywhere.
The Nigerian military barely has money for bullets so don't fear them. If the average solider hears a gunshot he'll run, if they hear four gunshots they'll negotiate.

I had to read when I saw it came from this moniker.

Well, won't that be a recipe for disintegration of this country into pieces? I don't know why I have nevee trusted this FG led by Buhari. I must also say that despite how allegedly corrupt PDP was, dignified leadership went with them. What we have now are touts and religious extremists in politician garbs.

How Buhari was repackaged as a saint, despite his past misdeeds and misstatements, baffles me.

Fulanis will risk it because the reward if they succeed is exceedingly great. I'll tell you the truth: they already know that they won't get away with all but are sure of securing more than they have at present. Also, the encroaching Sahara is contributing it's own pressure to the system. As for us, we must know what we want and go for it during the ensuing chaos. Our leaders must know history and politics well to ensure we are well off after the dust settles. No one should be appealed to for his or her own safety. If you're stupid at present, your fate would be doomed that time. It's a dog eat dog world now.
I'm a Christian like most of our people and we shudder at the thought off wielding weapons. Only two options are left to us; fight or flight. Flight is worst of the two. Flight renders you stateless and with the current resurgence of national pride all over the world, we would be at the mercy of many countries. Just imagine the shame and ridicule that would bring. Xenophobia will be in full force. Israel understands this better than everyone. They've been there before. So, we're left with only fighting. Nwanna, buckle your belt and discipline yourself. The days of pleasure is gone. I've foreseen it already.

Very intelligent response. You should be in a war room formulating strategy with policymakers.

I am deeply grateful for your response, I will even stretch it further and say you hit a major security issue for Sahara, Sahel and Central African region.

The very first salvo from Buhari after his inauguration in 2015 was to ask about progress report on the World Bank funded feasibility study for Lake Chad Basin Commission.

Lake Chad is very strategic to North. grin

Lake Chad is fresh water and over the years have shrunk in size from what it used to be mainly due to climatic changes.

As a military man Buhari understands what security asset is and he identifies strategically with the security of Lake Chad because the place has all the characteristics and features of an oil basin. No other Nigerian leader has been as tenured and involved in all facets of NNPC and its upstream/downstream offshoots as Buhari has been. When this man dies his ghost will hang around NNPC. In his next administration expect the Minister of Oil to be from NE or someone vested in oil security in the North, and also expect that a sizeable amount of money is going to be wasted exploring oil security for North.

There is a great pressure from North of Northern Nigeria. The people of Niger (Tuaregs) are already moving southward and are as far South as Lagos, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Warri and so on. Nowadays jeans and tee shirt has become an urban uniform, a Tuareg in jeans and tee shirt is not differentiable from a Southerner in jeans and tee shirt. Moreover you cant ask them not to come here, the West African Common Community under the ECOWAS passport gives freedom of movement and residence to anyone in member state to live and work and trade anywhere in the region.

The resources are shrinking and the world is expanding and evolving very fast.

We have never had a catastrophy from earthquake, sea storm, volcano eruption, and so forth....but we are prone nonetheless to dry weather. A catastrophic dry weather will impact Chad Basin and could result in similarities with the famine in Ethiopia in the 80s. Dry weather in Niger could result in banditry and crime as pressure mount on Tuaregs to find survival in Nigeria. grin

Migration from Sahara and Sahel to the grassland and forest in South will create human tragedies....pressure from population densities, competition for scarce resource, culture clash, struggle for domination and power, imposition of foreign culture and strange habits and lifestyle, and so on....

A mistake was committed in the amlgamation of Nigeria...but a worse mistake was committed in the amalgamation of West Africa.

The North has tested us in the South many times and found us complacent. We never mount pressure on North the way they put pressure on South.

No Southern militant group ever crosses into North region and wipe out a village or raype communities. So they know we respect the boundaries of North and will not dream of crossing into it to cause bloodshed. They also know when they disrespect our boundaries and cross down here to raype and wipe out our villages we lack resolve to exact consequence and make them regret the action.

So the direction of force and terror and domination will continue to be North to South until they succeed in acquiring our land. Where they fail to acquire land they want to uproot our culture and replace it with a version of Islam that reports to Sokoto.

So we will either allow them access to grazing land or they will acquire it by force of terror. Either way, the ultimate outcome is to colonize and impose Sharia.

The entire Lake Chad basin is already under the control of Sharia advocates - bokoharam.

Now Zamfara, Kebbi, Kaduna, Abuja, Benue, Nassarawa, Adamawa, Niger, Kogi, Gombe are all occupied by bandits and kidnappers. They have succeeded in incapacitating our police force. Police is no longer able to deploy and bring them down. Even our Army are no match for them. We are now using Air Force. If our Army cannot protect itself from their assault what time and capacity do they have to protect citizens? So the bandits will attempt to sack the government of Nigeria. If they succeed they will ultimately take over the entire nation.

They certainly are not the only ones. Crude oil is the currency of purchase and virtually all ethnic groups of Southern Nigeria has it. If Ojukwu of blessed memory never made the sincere mistake in that regard, we would have successfully pulled it off. This we understand very well now. Niger Delta is an aggregation of numerous ethnic groups and Ndigbo are one of it too. When it comes to international commerce, no tribe in Nigeria beat us so we have no problem in that regard. I won't belittle any group who willingly collaborate with us but for those who think they can dance 'surugede' in times like this, we'll remind them that 'surugede is the dance of the spirits and they should exercise caution before their waist are dislocated. A word is enough for the wise.

Ivar, Thanks for the compliment, I receive it!

We have two types of conflicts in Nigeria
1. Passive Conflict. Done via intellectual sparing and competition for domination of mainstream outlets.
Its attributes include elitism through media, academia, economic advantage, cultural righteousness and religious righteousness, stereotyping...and so on.

2. Active Conflict. Dispossession of equitable rights and competition for domination in the seat of political power.
Attributes include militancy, isolation, threat, sense of entitlement, statutory restrictions, boundaries, representation...and so on.

The two are packaged and used together to terrorize or to solicit, given the challenges and situation.

Let me first tell you about the North.
The North is afraid of so many things but they are also resolved that a mythical direct intervention from God is involved in their fate. They take interpretation direct from Quran and life of Prophet Muhammed to apply to the Nigerian State. They believe Muhammed is able to outstrip other cultures and religions preceeding him because of his faith in the Holy Scripture and in God. They also take lessons from the Arabs. Prior to Islam the Arabs were peaceful people. After Islam the sword (weapon of death and honor) became their corporate logo for creating a new social franchise. You will be a muslim or we will not value your life. Thus if you are not a muslim they first package you as kafir (an unbeliever) and rob you of your humanity through enslavement. With the Islamic order they established a new social heirarchy also. A muslim must not submit to a kafir....at work, in school, in politics, in military, in market....muslim must be the head. These creed became the set of education that a muslim child learns along with the Quran. It is believed that Arabia and UAE and all these places became what they are today because of the adherents of Arabs to these creeds. Northerners also believe that one poor man, an Islamic cleric, is able to topple and decimate multiple Hausa Kingdoms because of his belief in the creed. So they have the success of Arabs to instruct them on how to be successful, they also have the success of Usman Dan Fodio right here on ground to teach how to grow and rule society. Their next target is Nigeria. They believe the creed for ruthlessness, subjugation and domination of Kafirs pleases God and if they want Him to reward them with the oil and port commerce in Nigeria then they have the obligation to first bring all Nigerians under the rule of Islamic God. Those who refuse are Kafirs, their lives will not be valued. They believe Islam is why Middle East is prosperous for Muslims, and that the economy and trade is just a collateral reward. They believe if Islam is introduced to every corner of Nigeria this country will be great for the ones in the North favored by Allah.

There are many vulnerabilities in the North and even in their mindset about Jihad, however, the damages done by military regime is so deep that to undo it will require putting a block against a Northern ruler for about 20yrs while the South repair society and bring back equity stolen by men in uniform....until that is done the imbalance in power will continue to favor North and their vulnerabilities remain out of target.

There is much more on my mind to share in how the tension and fears could be managed but I usually reserve some thoughts to myself and leave them unspoken. grin

There is much more on my mind to share in how the tension and fears could be managed but I usually reserve some thoughts to myself and leave them unspoken. grin[/s]

Excellent response that i applaud yet again! I am really curious what your first degree is.

I am also curious about the last sentence. If you don't want to provide responses here, you can mention me on an obscure page and i will delete as soon as i read it. THANKS.

It is great to see 1 intellectual out of thousands of dullards on Nairaland. I disagree with some of the Islamization points but i am objective enough to see a lot of truth within and appreciate the critical thinking skills you showed.

He would made that sense a long time ago but he chose to be a bigot

Now that drama has reached his doorstep, he wants to sound sensible and critical.

Too late......he is not making any sense but cheap propaganda against his caliphate masters.

And the wailing continues.

Part 1 Wailing : 2015 to 2019
Part 2 Wailing : 2019 to 2023

Osinbajo/El-Rufai 2023 to 2031. Will be alive to witness the great period or you would have taken Sniper Humanicide?

Foolish senseless brat... You don't even know metaphysical is pro APC and buhari Hahahaha

Which begs the question... Mr Metaphysical, what happened? Why are you wailing now? We warned you and each time you insulted people of sound reasoning and called us names... You swore your allegiance to tifnubu a man who's ready to subjugate the whole of yoruba land and indeed the whole south to buhari just so he can become president in 2023 which he'd never become.

Why are you wailing today? Is it because it's hitting home Now? Osun and Ondo states are being attacked? Why exactly are you crying now?

My thoughts too and I made that clear when I quoted the first guy who abused him.

He saw these things and even if he chose not to, we told him and his ilk but he instead chose to abandon good reason and walk the path of destruction because tifnubu is involved.

We told them we needed a united southern front but they kept building walls and even helped rig buhari into power now he's coming here to spew all the rubbish we saw before hand? Or is it because it's hitting ondo now that he's complaining?

We saw through buhari and his body language a long time ago but for selfish reasons yoruba people like metaphysical played ethnic and regional sentiments about it then today he's saying all the rubbish?

You yorubas should be aware of one thing...we at the south south are very violence prone and weapons to fight back are not that difficult to get. My village I won't make mention of for security reasons, fulanis don't go there and I can boldly say they don't have any camps around that area because when they tried rubbish the first time, we matched them fire for fire and kept at it till they learned not to come into our lands anymore. Many fulanis died and the rest learned to leave us alone.

I believe People of the south east also have their back ups.

But you yorubas will play politics with everything and anything. Your yoruba leaders have bastardized and rubbished your Afenifere and your OPC. They have turned them to toothless bull dogs all in the bid to look politically correct- in your own terms, political sophistication. The OPC we grew up knowing was feared and respected nation wide but today, any brown toothed politician can curse them and nothing would happen.

How many reasonable south south leaders with good followership have you heard come on out to openly condemn south south militants with as much belligerance as you peoples tinubu does afenifere and other pro yoruba groups simply because they are not politically aligned?

The only thing that can save Nigeria is a detribalized leader which Nigeria lost when the yoruba fifth columnists conspired to play the ostrich as usual while buhari's cabal rigged him back into power.

What the north is doing now is called testing the waters.... They are seeing where resistance would come from and they are adapting well. Let everyone be at alert and keep your guns handy because you may need it sooner than later.
