A bridge leading straight to Ogboko, which is Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha’s village, has caved in for the third time.

The bridge referred to as Mgbee bridge, connects Orlu to Ideato-North and South local government areas of the state. Rochas Okorocha’s village, Ogboko, is in Ideato-South local government area.

The bridge leads to Governor Okorocha’s village, Ogboko, and he plies that bridge always.

A portion of the bridge caved in, leading to the closure of that section of the bridge. Motorists now use one lane due to the danger posed by the collapsed portion of the bridge.

That collapsed portion has been repaired two times. The bridge caved in shortly after use. It has collapsed again, as Okorocha is about to leave office.

The opening is very dangerous and nothing has been done to it. From all indications, a terribly poor job was done on the other two occasions that the bridge was repaired.

Now that Okorocha is leaving office without fixing a bridge that leads to his own village, who will come to the rescue of Ideato North and South people of the state who are the ones worse hit by the neglect?

Even tho I don't like OshoOmoAle but he saved Imo people from a Lucifer.

Please he should also save Kogi people from Emperor Yayah Bello

Rochas Okorocha is a criminal,

Rochas built a primary school classrooms(upstairs) in my community, we abandoned the classrooms because of the substantial or fake materials they used to build it. if one person is climbing the steps, the building will be vibrating.

The school is a trap waiting for kids to swallow,
we thank God our brothers abroad already built enough classes for Abueke kids.

ROCHAS IS 10 TIMES WORST THAN OHAKIM

With the way he has planned to flag off projects today in the name of working till he hands over, I'm sure he can award the contract for the entire bridge today and flag it off again tomorrow. grin cheesy

Probably there is a sinkhole at that spot

But failure to investigate what caused the 1st and 2nd hole will let people to blame and politicise who is in charge

Even if the new govt repair it that hole may still come back even bigger

from the pics its a box culvert not a bridge.
its failure is either a result of poor design or poor construction or both.

so it's okorocha fault now or....must we nail this man because he made a mistake? the truth about that road is the contractor....the community should go after the contractor and you leave okorocha alone...by May 29, he will be history

Contractor? The road Julius Berger constructed here is still fine after 35 years and one of the reasons is that the Government paid then handsomely and he reciprocated by offering his best.
The Engineer made do with what the government offered them.
So you mean the contractor is more powerful than the government? That the government will offer them a contract of 100$ and they will put up a construction of 20$ which is obviously below the standard they paid for and the government won't do anything about it?
You think contractors don't give guarantees?

This Okorohausa village people refuse to hands off on his matter grin Okorocha should just bury his head in shame my bible tells me "The end of a thing is better than the beginning".
How you started does not really matter but what matters is how you finish. Okorocha is finishing in the bad books of Imolites and his village people. grin

Which contractors? What do you expect them to do when they have returned 60% of the budgeted money back to okorocha as kick back?
