Member of the House of Representatives, Hon James Abiodun Faleke, has declined offer from the people of Kogi West Senatorial district to contest the governorship ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forth coming governorship election.

Instead, he asked the people to choose a candidate with the interest of the area at heart.

Speaking at a meeting of stakeholders from the area in Abuja on Friday, Faleke told his people that he was back to Lagos where he was trained politically and would support any candidate selected by them, but would support anyone who helped in truncating the aspiration of the Okun nation.

He said he had received several calls from his people asking him to contest the party ticket, pointing out that it is better to tell the people the truth, saying they must take their destiny in their hands and negotiate with all the aspirants in the race before selecting one to support.
He told them that as a result of the suffering of his people, he had to bend backward two years ago to reach out to Governor Yahaya Bello on the need to address the suffering of the people of the state, pointing out that the governor paid deaf ears and never showed any interest in reconciliation.

He said he told the governor that there was the need for true reconciliation if things were to work out well for him, adding that the people of Kogi West voted for Senator Dino Melaye during the last election as a way of protesting the treatment they suffered from Governor Yahaya Bello.

This is a good student of Jagaban school of politics

saying they must take their destiny in their hands and negotiate with all the aspirants in the race before selecting one to support.

Nothing like emotional and hate politics that inspires some people to think politics is all about revenge and getting even or punishing others for making a different political choice

Kogites wake up and vote the right person that will take your state forward

Vote for integrity.
Vote for the man or woman and overlook the party they are under.
Don't look at their religion or what part of Kogi they are from.

Kogi State will be great again
God bless Kogi State.
God bless Nigeria.

Truth is, he's better off preserving his honor by declining the offer. To start with, as an Okun man, he stands very little chance of clinching the ticket, much more win the general elections.

Yorubas are a minority in Kogi state, except they get the backing of Igalas, there's no realistic chance of any them winning and of course, the Igalas will not back okun against one of their own.

Na why I dey look Dino dey laugh. Except he gets to run for PDP against an APC's Yahaya Bello that he stands a chance. Otherwise, he will chop sand if APC fields someone other than the monumental disaster currently occupying Luggard House.

Faleke took an informed decision, he's kukuma a Tinubu boy, he should stick to Lagos politics.

I will be totally disappointed if the unpopular Yahaya Bello goes on to win the election. Then the Kogites deserve whatever they get

Back Lagos - Not too ambitious

Speaking at a meeting of stakeholders from the area in Abuja on Friday, Faleke told his people that he was back to Lagos where he was trained politically and would support any candidate selected by them, but would support anyone who helped in truncating the aspiration of the Okun nation.

A typical instance of situational word "sitting on a fence" Sen. Dino been his kinsman, while Bello is a party member.... It's obvious that Gov. Bello has failed as governor both morally and politically... But then, Mr Faleke is absolutely in dilemma, of course he is. Days ago we learnt that some gullible and greedy Royal Robbers parading themselves as Royal Fathers lead Bello to Aso Rock making it known to Mr. President that they came to relates the mind of their people of how the Kogites are in full support of Bello's second term..(best lie of the year) The ugly scene of this Daylight robbery is The Royal Robber (father) that lead other Royal Robbers is Oba Of Kabba, a king from Okun as Faleke... Albeit, a maxim says 'a little of word is enough of the wise) Faleke made it clear, "your destiny as kogites lies in there hand"
