Re: HRM Igwe Sir Benneth Emeka JP Oke-ebo II of Umueri calls for calm

The traditional ruler of Umueri HRM Igwe Ben Emeka has reacted to the news
trending on social media where it was alleged that people were killed.

In a statement signed by him and sighted by one of our correspondents, Igwe
Ben dismissed the news as a false and wicked rumour by faceless individuals.

He instead that no single person has been killed in Umueri and that His
community is not in any kind of war. He therefore urged the general public
to disregard the news.

The statement reads in part;

"My attention has been drawn to the falsehood being peddled on Social Media
and other News Platforms suggesting that Umueri is at War - and that
various people have been killed".

"We wish to categorically state that there is no War in Umueri and no
single soul has been lost. Umueri people are not known for violence and
will never resort to killing one another as alleged by those peddling the
falsehood".

"I hereby urge the general public to be weary of fake news and disregard
unconfirmed information coming from these faceless individuals. Umueri is
one of the most peaceful communities in Anambra state and will always
remain so."

"This also, is evident in the high level patronages so far received from
Anambra State government under the able leadership of Chief Willie Obiano,
as well as numerous private investors who have shown interest to invest in
our dear community."

He went on to advice the youths to shun violence, avoid rumour mongering
capable of destabilizing Umueri community. He further urged his people to
love one another, while assuring them that the state government has
intervened in the town union leadership crisis.

"On this note,I hereby wish to use this medium to inform Ndi Umueri - that
the state government has intervened in the Town Union Leadership Crisis
which shall serve as prelude to resolving all the misunderstandings and
bring lasting peace to our dear community Umueri."

"We therefore advise those behind this evil act of instigating our youths
to perpetrate violence in Umueri to desist from it forthwith. Stop all the
rumour mongering capable of destabilizing our community and instead channel
that energy towards the development of Umueri community."

"I therefore urge you to remain peaceful, love one another and go about
your lawful business without any fear of harassment."

Long live Umueri!
Long live Anambra State!

We all know the peddler of these news. The strangers we harbour are not happy with peace co-existence in anambra state since 1992 when we left the unholy union we had that was setting us backward.


instead of them to accept realities facing on the homogeneity and unanimity in anambra state, they having been trying to create a social conflict to discredit the state.

We condenm their actions and once again, they have failed.


Anambra is a homogeneous state ( let's say monolithic) and above all unanimous in her decisions.

This made me laugh. If anybody shouldn't call themselves peace loving and don't like to fight, it should never be umueri and aguleri people. Shebi I'd is the same people we know? Them niggas love to fight. Hell haven't umueri and aguleri been fighting over lands since God made the mistake of putting them next to each other. Shit they should be proud of their behavior.
