Don't mind the people saying pay back time. If you were living in aba and you were not a kidnapper, all of sudden, the JTF comes in and shoot you and your people. You would be reading this in the grave. 172 linked with kidnapping?? Did they go to their camp? |

Olumogun:What are you on about?  In the first place it was a JTF operation not a police operation and their camps were in the outskirts of Aba not the city centre.And what is so shocking about the 172 people killed. Do you know how entrenched and well equipped the kidnappers are. It was never going to be a walkover for the JTF in the sense kidnappers would just surrender without putting up a most determined resistance. |

A soldier, a Judge and the executioner----all in one!----pathetic! In as much as i condemn the recent shocking waves and kidnapping cases which had been the bane of Abia for a while, killing 172 people without any form of trial is not justifiable. What baffles me most is that my countrymen would rather close an eye to what they perceive an acceptable evil to fix another evil, no one seem to be asking questions, why kill 172 civilians?. . . How do we know more than half of them aren't innocent?. . . what right does a soldier have to take away a Nigerian's right to live based on mere feeling of who's guilty and who's not? why do we have the courts? |

This is quite a high numbers. I do not know if I should be cheering, because these were Igbo lives lost. However, these kidnappers brought it on themselves. But we need to get at the source of this problem. Lack of jobs for the youth. |

Another thing is the number could be inflated. Given the fact that those guys where clearly on the defensive, I don't see why the dead should be that much. Apparently the gesture was extended to some marijuana merchants and smokers, they abound there. |

My people theres a village arnd Aba which is known for manufacturing firearms,my kid sister and her child was robbed there somtime ago wen their commercial bus from Uyo diverted into dis town because of a bad portion of the Ikot ekpene \Aba rd,she said d boys were like skool leavers but were all armed to the teeth wth locally made pistols & riffles.JTF should run such villages down,dnt they hv intelligence unit?, im told they hv always been knwn to b notorious there,even police i heard dont ever venture to go there for patrol or arrest,wat manner of place is dis Abia?im disturbed. |

As far as I know the JTF are Godsent. 172 people, yes it is possible but it is an acceptable loss, if you live in Aba in the last two years, you will agree with me. Its possible that the kidnapping ring that held Aba to ransom included up to 1000 persons, it was a well organised ring. From phone call centre operators to the keke riders then to the the militia were all enganged in this crime. All working together, at times put the victim under survillence until they are whisked away. There were some many smaller camps too operating on their own, even some students decided to join the elicit business. As at today Aba is relatively calm, the banks have opened, so have the markets. Hold up have started resurfacing but the public confidence is yet to return fully, that will come with time.JTF are still rounding more people connected to the kidnapping with information provided by the captured kidnappers. The failed Governor in a desperate move to redeem his battered and shattered imagine annouced he will be relocating to Aba to show that Aba is save. Why didnt he do that 2 weeks ago, desperate politician, let him come and face the gullies we called road in Aba and filth that smells to high heavens |

I'm just really bothered about how the JTFs decide who and who's not guilty or was it just based on feelings? and by the way, even if you don't travel to Aba, i've got boys on ground ready to make you disappear, to save yourself of this stress, just send 25 million naira only to the bank account i'd send to your mail. |
