Residents of some communities in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, have sent “Save-Our-Soul” appeal to the State Governor, Mr. Seyi Makinde to beef up security in and around the borders of their communities to protect the people against the dreaded Bororo Fulanis who were evicted by neighbouring communities in Ogun State.

THISDAY learnt that the herders were ordered by the community leaders to vacate the land or face the wrath of the people following the killings of some farmers, especially one farmer and his children, by Bororo Fulani herders at Alabata, in Odeda Local Government Areaof Ogun State.

However, fears heightened on Wednesday night when leaders of the Alabata community passed information to all neighbouring communities, including Ibadan border communities, warning them against accommodating the evicted Bororo Fulanis, who were alleged to have killed their people.

It was gathered that the evicted Bororo Fulanis began their movement out of the host communities on Wednesday’s night with their cows.

Some communities who had been placed on security alert were said to have raised the alarm at midnight of Wednesday when they witnessed movement of cows around their communities at such an unholy hours.

There were burn fires, gun shots and vigilante patrol all through the night to check the movement of the Bororo Fulani herdsmen who were alleged to have masterminded the killing at Alabata.

The affected border communities include Bakatari, Ilupeju; Eleso; Ago-Tente and Aba- Oke in Ido Local Government of Oyo state.

One of the elders of the communities, Pa. Joshua Badejo, told journalists that the matter had been reported at Omi-Adio Police Division, Ibadan, and appealed to Governor Makinde to strengthen the existing security apparatus in the border communities

According to him: “We were informed by our people in Odeda that the Bororo Fulani herdsmen would be moving out of their area. Following the warning, we placed our people on alert as we don’t want such strangers to settle in our communities. We don’t want bloodshed here.

“Here in our communities, we have Fulani herders. We have been living together with them as one family. They bought lands and build their houses with their families. What we have told them now is that we don’t want them to accommodate any stranger that will bring trouble here. If they notice any stranger, they should inform us, that is why we have invited them to a meeting with leaders of our communities.

“We don’t want Bororo Fulani herders who will slaughter our people. And that is why we are calling on our governor to help us.”

He added that many of the residents could not sleep as they all kept vigil till day break in a move to ward off the evicted Bororo herders from Alabata in Odeda, Ogun state.

Buhari created such feelings for the herdsmen by not tackling the criminals among them. Now nobody wants even the supposedly good ones around

Fulanis must be forced to evolve like every other humans on earth.

They can't be allowed to continue living like wild animals in this modern age and time.

Their archaic and nomadic lifestyle is putting other people's lives at risk.

How can a people decide to remain the same from generation to generation without at least making efforts to become civilised and adopt safer ways of life

How can Fulani herdsmen be roaming forests and be sleeping in forests day in day out in the name of rearing cow abi cattle

So long as they continue to live that nomadic, archaic lifestyle of the 13th century, they will continue to be a threat to civilised people's lives and peace.

This is why Nigeria needs to go back to regional government system to give every region power to control their boundaries and borders, secure their region with their best practice and security outfits, and to also protect their people from intruders and invaders.

And if restructuring won't work, then Nigeria needs to peacefully divide so all interested regions seeking for freedom can go their way in peace, to ensure security and prosperity of their people.

Nigerians wake up, you cannot continue to condone these Fulani herdsmen and their open grazing madness, its no longer funny angry

The only thing making it look like Fulani herdsmen are dreaded is the government backup and support they are getting in Nigeria, if not tell me why strangers like Fulani herdsmen will invade a whole community and sack them without the youths and entire community rounding them up

Even American and Russian soldiers do suffer heavy casualty when they invade smaller armed units in ordinary Middle East, with all their sophisticated weapons oh.

Nigerian government is the reason this Fulani herdsmen killing menace is getting worse daily angry

Just see how lazy Nigerians made these killers of unarmed farmers and villagers look like super-powers. Just arm yourselves well and see them cry.

This hate speech against Fulanis won't stop until Buhari;

1. Tackles the banditry perpetrated by the bad eggs amongst them.

2. Constitutionally stops them from carrying illegally possessed arms around.

3. Cancels the RUGA plan across Nigeria.

I'm sure that then the insecurity and suspicions towards the Fulanin as a tribe will cease.

The government via nepotism allowed this hate to spread as they refused to tackle the situation because the Fulanise were demi gods to this government. Now nobody trust the government or the herdsmen anymore, so whether they are guilty or not nobody cares. The only thing on most Southerners mind is leave us, take your cattles as far away from the south as possible

Believe me the media are behind most of the things we are seeing. The media jumped to conclusion without the police statement. Though PMB has a leader has is own flaws but the media are not helping the situation. Every situation is reported has fulani this and that.
