Meanwhile, happy independence to Africa's oldest republic.
172 years is no joke. My gramps and great-granps weren't even there in 1847. smiley

172 years and yet the country is a classic example of a shithole - no thanks to civil war cry

Anyone drumming the beats of war doesn't have sense.

If Nigeria must split, it should be through dialogue.

Wars are bad!

Liberia and Sierra Leone were countries setup for returned slaves after the slave trade was abolished. It is very possible for them to be celebrating 172 years independence anniversary.

Liberia is 172 years because they "declared" independence in 1847. Matter of fact, it is Africa's oldest republic. But Liberia's history goes way back to 1822.

NB: Emphasis on the word "declared". Liberia was never colonized by any imperial power. They and Ethiopia are the only two countries on this continent that never cane under colonial rule. Hope this explanation helps.

Buhari is a failure whose only achievement in office is to gallivant round the world and take pictures while the masses suffer in penury

Buhari holds the record as the only sitting president on earth who has spent more time away from his country while in office...

Buhari is a disaster

Woe to those who queued Up under hot sun to vote for this calamity... Shame

That is how a "honest" President makes his own money, we are not fools..

BTW: Just completely remove or make the Estacode very, very small.....you will see that all these Govt officials will just stop travelling out of the country. grin grin
