Revolution Now: IG Sends Alarm Message To Commissioners Of Police by Pamatips: 7:35am On Aug 05, 2019
The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has ordered all command Commissioners of Police in the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory, to maintain law and order in their jurisdictions.

Adamu on Sunday directed the CPs to ensure that the #RevolutionNow protests did not degenerate into violence across the nation.

The Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Frank Mba, said, “The IG has directed all the command Commissioners of Police to ensure law and order in their areas of jurisdiction during the protests. How they do it is up to them.”

Mba did not respond to further questions.

But findings by The PUNCH indicated that the police authorities were nervous about the protests getting out of hand against the backdrop of the vow by the Islamic Movement in Nigeria to continue with the protest for the release of their detained leader, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky.

It was gathered that the police leadership believed the Shi’ites could hijack the #RevolutionNow protests which may lead to widespread violence across the country.

A senior officer said, “The timing of the rallies is wrong, given the challenges the security forces are facing with the Shi’ites in Abuja and Kaduna. The situation could get out of control should the IMN joins the rallies and that’s the fear of the police leadership.

“Apart from this, the involvement of a politician and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, in the civil action sends a wrong signal. The government doesn’t want to take any chance.”

Lol. A country where security agents negotiates with bandits because of their incapabilities (Zamfara).

But the president once promised to help Germany fight terrorism, with same security

Since the government does not obey court orders or allow the court do its job

This is the only way to seek redress,

It is quite unfortunate

What I don't understand is why IPOB and OPC are not organising rallies.
As you can see, the security agencies are overwhelmed already.

shocked

I can assure the Inspector of General of Police that no Igbo will be party to this useless call for revolution because it's aim is tainted.
We shall not be used as pawns by sell-out moles.

Let those who sabotaged the possibility of a government change before and during the elections not ask that we protest against the government they chose with their own hands.

Yele said the election was credible. Why ask the people to revolt against their credible leader?
That is pure incitement based on scorn.

Has this same Sowore ever supported the peaceful sit-at-home protests?
Now he has gotten himself locked up in an AC room jerking off to Mia Khalifa and expecting others to go out and get shot at.

Any defiant participant is responsible for whatever action meted on them by the Paramilitary.
A word is enough for the wise.

Buhari is not GEJ.

All the running you igbos are running still none of you can RUN for President. grin
Cowardice must be a dominant trait in your family DNA..

Jonathan is clueless, so they said and oust him.

Today, the cluefull whom they elected and re-elected is giving them what the former president couldn't.

Enjoy it while it last.

Any RevolutionNow idiot that comes out should be dealt with severely.

You all had the chances some months back but were busy snoring.

Well, police are strong in fighting protesters but powerless in fighting criminals. Nigerian police is like that senator that beat a nursing mother up in a intimacy gadget shop. I have observed that men who can't fight other men suddenly become strong when it's a woman so also is our police sometimes. It's not completely their fault politicians only see them as tools in third world countries.

For me the protest is useless. If really you dont want Buhari or Atiku, during election you wouldn't have been looking for a party that have structure but team together and vote for any other vibrant candidate for real change to occur. Most of you collected money to even vote and you expect change.
