[size=14pt]Abuja Bomb: Document reveals Okah made 43 Calls, 27 SMS to Suspects[/size]

Evidence presented at the resumed hearing of the terrorism case against Henry Okah, embattled leader of the Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta, MEND showed that he made 43 telephone calls and exchanged 27 text messages to all the suspects in the October 1 twin bomb in Abuja.

The records presented to the South African Court showed Okah made calls and exchanged text messages to Chima Orlu, one of the suspects currently on the run, Ben Ebere aka Ben Jesse between August and October.

According to the record which was presented based on Magistrate Hein Louw request that a concrete evidence be presented for the case to continue, Okah made 1,126 calls to Ben Ebere from August 7, 2010 to September 29, 2010. And in October 1, 2010, he made a total of 43 calls and 27 text messages to Orlu who has been declared wanted by the State Security Service in Nigeria.

From the record read by the Prosecution lawyer, Shaun Abrahams, signed by the South African police, the two cars used for the Abuja bombing by the perpetrators and co-perpetrators in the crime were bought on Okah’s instruction .
