It is an established fact that most "big men" don't pay taxes. Only poor men do. Civilised/developed countries tax the rich more than the poor but Nigeria does the opposite. Same thing also happen inside the churches. You will think it is the tithes and offerings of the "big men" that are being used to run churches when u see the big cars and lifestyles they display in the church. U won't believe that most of them don't even pay tithes and offerings but always sit down in front chairs with big lace agbada.

Why will obasanjo not be in the list? He is one adult that stairs the water and turned to his observers and start shouting that he doesn't know why the water is shaking. If not, I wonder why he looks into the eyes of Nigerians today and tell them he doesn't know why the country is not moving as should. Even after several attempts by history to place him at the fore front in championing a good cause for the country which he rebuffed all of them. The thing is, the reason why this government is so much proactive on taxation is because the oil revenue is low.

If the oil revenue was high, the amount coming in would allow government to overlook such things.

The government has reiterated severally need to look into other sources for revenue as the dependency on oil only could be disastrous.

In the developed countries tax revenue still take a major place notwithstanding the several other sources they have.

all these smes are being taxed heavily by local and state govts. They are forced to buy one ticket or the other everyday of the week. These represent their taxes. None of these businesses belong to "big men". The poor pay the taxes. Ask bus drivers and they will cry while explaining their predicament to you.
