Why waiving the course, why do they allow them to register it when they know it's not important. They need to pass all registered courses before graduation. V.C is right.

See how they are Playing with people's lives anyhow
Which life? Is school the only thing that can give life? Pharmacists to be could not pass their courses complete and one stoic woke up to grant them waiver. What nonsense is that?

Nigerian universities, where one man can play god over the destinies of a number of people.
A course has been waived by a department, yet one man said he wasn’t carried along(not that it is against the university policy Oo)
The man he couldn’t look in eye and say no to is now dead, suddenly he has grown balls to oppose the graduation of student and shaming the memories of late scholar.

No one should think he is trying to uphold some standards here. He is trying to be vindictive and the students will be allowed to graduate eventually without a resit after his ego has been pampered.

You obviously don't know prof Sulyman Abdulkareem Age, the VC. he's a man of principle and a complete incorruptible man. If you don't do things the right way you can not be in his good book

D VC fvcked up sha...!!

Nevertheless, i think theres more to d story. Why would you waiver a course taken by pharmacy students kwa ?? E get some sh*t wey no suppose dey happen for any Health related course.

Any course like M&S, Dentistry, MCB, ANATOMY, PHARMACY course wey dey deal with Human life, d requirements should be very stringent so that we go fit reduce d number of Quacks wey we get. Its bad enough if we have half backed graduate of engineering but it will be worse of we have half backed health workers & Doctors.

Quack or half-baked is not tolerable in any discipline as each as its role to play. But, personally I don't see waiving a course as a big deal, we do so many irrelevant modules in Nigerian institutions but do less of practicals and research, which is totally the opposite in the saner climes. The VC is just trying to show himself, why does the senate approved of the results in the first instance, the students should refuse repeating the module and go to court as they have already being cleared, all remaining for them was to get their respective certificates...

I don’t need to know him more. His behaviour is an indictment on his administrative capacity.
If was that sagacious, he would have contained this situation before it got to this level. But he was on sit when the course was waived, senate approved the results and the list was sent to PCN, only to make a detour at the final stage of oath taking. All this shows shows slackness my friend

Waivers of non core courses takes place in many Nigerian universities, some other practices include best 120 ~ which makes a 2.1 in one department to be inferior to same classification in another department in the same university which does not do best 120.

Don't say what you don't know, they waive course in the University of Ilorin.
Lol don't mind him.. during my time I know people with 3-4 carryovers and they graduated... If you are really close to the senior lecturers you won't have issues at all.
