After 8 years how has the lekki epe tolled road gone?

Is that corrodor a success story?

Have you asked where the daily proceeds go to?

Why do you think the same Fashola who tolled lekki - epe would do any different with the federal with more vested interest than those of Lagos?

Tolling is good in theory but the reality in practice says something else

Tolled Ajah - Lekki road has been bad, a friend chatted me that he has been in 4 hours traffic jam, yet LCC make daily profit.

This is one of the main reasons the CABAL insisted that Lawal and Gbaja head the Senate and HoR respectively. Have u seen any of the houses condem any of these anti- masses policies? NO!!!

We are just on our own.

Indeed there was a country
A country that was so competent with with power and blessed with resources,
A country that was so respected by the Europeans and Americans to the point the they dream of spending some time in their life's in visiting the country,
But it was like a curse.. The rain washed away the glory and the reverse became the case.

Our democratic presidents has been a burden upon its citizens.

What does Nigeria do with her oil money?
By Otuekong Favour
Nigeria currently exports approximately 2million barrels of
crude oil daily at $60 per barrel, which translates into
$120million daily.
Nigeria produces over 2billionscf of gas per day, at $2.25 per
MMBtu.
Natural gas is measured in the international market with
British thermal units, MMBtu. Thus, 1000 cubic feet of natural
gas is equal to 1.037millionBtu, whereas one Btu of natural
gas according to Bloomberg Commodities is currently at
$2.25. Therefore, 2billionscf is tantamount to over 2trillionBtu,
which if multiplied by $2.25, amounts to hundreds of billions
of Dollars.
These prices do not include the fact that prices of
commodities fluctuate in the international market, as natural
gas went as high as $4 per MMBtu in 2018, while crude oil
prices soared over $75 sometime in 2018.
Now Nigeria has 49% stake in NLNG, 55% and in some cases
60% in every crude oil production in the country.
What about our internally generated revenue?
In 2018 alone, Customs generated N5trillion, FIRS N3trillion,
Nimasa N20billion, even non-revenue generating agencies like
JAMB, WAEC etc, claimed they'd generated billions last year.
What does Nigeria do with all these money, apart from
funding extravagant lifestyle of elected and appointed
politicians?
Yet a greater percentage of Nigerians are poverty-stricken,
with no access to potable water, electricity, reliable healthcare
etc.

This is what Nigerians blinded by ethnic and religious sentiments don't understand. Our money is been used to fund the luxurious lifestyle of these politicians.. That is why it seems we don't have enough.

YOU have sense. You are not a wailer. You are a good Nigerian with sense. Making good use of the tolls is what we shoud be talking about. Not blind wailing.

Lol, if govt wants to make good use of toll, they must cut down on their luxurious lifestyle which are funded by public fund. They are over paid, until then, I don't trust them. Also, poverty is already too high, this sort of things are not what we need now.

Check out unemployment rates, many youths can't even afford TF to go for interviews, with this series of tax, TF will be higher. What govt needed to do first was to cut down on their luxurious lifestyle, fix our refineries which they promised us since 2015, get electricity to work. The economy will begin to have shape. Then they can gradually move into all these tax here and there.

The money to fix these things are there bro but they all lack political will to do so because they all care about looting and fixing their families to loot.

Talking about protest. Masses protested in Portharcourt over deplorable state of east west road - Nkpolu, few lives were lost by triggered happy security operatives.
A drive through Umahia to Portharcourt took seven hours out of my day without additional three hours spent in the mechanic workshop the following day. I was shocked to see how deplorable Aba - Portharcourt road is at the moment. I do not understand how the present government is been run? Something is fundamentally wrong in the system. I know funds are allocated, but may likely not getting in to the appropriate quarters. Makinde revelation in Oyo state was quite shocking in terms of how contracts monies are being distributed while little percentage get into contractor's pockets. There is no gain saying South East roads require emergency response. I can not fail to recognize contractor presently working to rehabilitate Onitsha bridge, Aba - Umahia express and Imo rivers - Eleme junction.

Governance in Nigeria is shrouded in secrecy, especially in this administration, so, demanding accountability may be possible but being accountable to the masses may be near impossible. So, let it begin with the political elites. Most Nigerians can barely feed, pay numerous taxes and pseudo - taxes etc.

This PDP is an anti-progress party. In responsible countries, road users pay toll without complaining.

We cannot claim to want development without making sacrifices.
We already pay N1.50k for every litre of petrol as road tax. Toll is double taxation

IN MY OPINION TOLL GATES CAN ONLY BE REINSTATED WHEN WE HAVE ACHIEVED 70% OF GOOD, SECURED AND ACCESSIBLE HIGHWAYS NATIONWIDE.
MISMANAGEMENT OF OUR RESOURCES AND MENTALITY BY OUR GOVERNMENT IS BECOMING UNBEARABLE IN THIS COUNTRY
