The host for this season Big Brother Naija, Season 4, Ebuka announced that The Pepper Dem season for Set a ground breaking record of 240 Millions votes. This is to say that Pepper Dem season raked in 7.2 Billion Naira from votes alone going by the cost of 30 Naira per Vote. Announcing the results on Sunday, the host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu said that the season got over 240 million votes, out of which over 50 million votes were cast in the final week of the season. News9naija reports that it costs N30 to cast a vote on the BBNaija Reality TV Show. Announcing the winner of the show, the host also disclosed that a record-breaking over 50 million votes amounting to N1.5 billion were garnered in the last week of the show. The way our youths die for this TV reality show marvels me.. Even bet9ja and Sports viewing centers in my area was filled up as I went to get something from a nearby shop... Youths (Both male and female) were busy shouting upandan as they chant for their various contestants and they even paid #50 each just to watch the show oh Which way Nigeria? Na just the figures wey BbNaija management realized from the show dey blow my mind full time (7.2Billion Naira within the time phrase of 99 days) well.... Am so happy for them  Meanwhile... Over 240million votes cast. And 78% of voters were female. And 87% of the female voters got the airtime they used in voting from guys. Most guys shamed people who vote when they were the sole enablers. Guys are the problems. Imagine if all Naija boys stopped sending call credits to ladies. Oh I thought I heard 240 million then this week alone 50million votes. I was so shocked that I quickly picked my calculated to calculate... When dis pepper dem season started everybody were clamouring bbn brought rich people. They will not watch dis and dat. At d end the number of votes is more than d population of Nigeria. Oga not everyone that voted voted via text msg so that amout you quoted is too much biko. You didn't factor in the revenue that will be accrue to the telecoms companies, other expenses etc. Though some of the cost will be covered from sponsors and advertisements.
