80% of 36 persons is 28, does that mean the national assembly is paying for the remaining 8 aides for a single senator? TF ......what does a senator who's even in the lower chambers need all those aids for? Such a disgusting thing to wake up to this morning

Don't be foolish, the world doesn't revolve round your backyard. Most of you here have no idea how Northern Nigeria is.
Gombe is having one of the first Christian communities in Nigeria.
And yes, they are not Hausa.

We missed a point where he said he will pay 80% of them from his allowances, meaning not necessarily incurring extra debts to the national assembly more than alloted to him.
He's actually an employer of labour if you ask since he will be paying 80% of them from his allowances grin

I am not even from Gombe state or any state close to Gombe but I appreciate what he did good one
am frm gombe, me and the man comes from the same local govt, he once thought in my sec sch, back then people used to say he is stingy and wicked but I left gombe some years back and the man join politics and suddenly people started hailing him as the best law maker from our zone ever...

He didn't ask anybody to help him pay them. He is paying from his allowance, the same allowance your representative will rather pocket and claim to you that there is no money.
Besides, he has been one of the most vocal member in the current assembly, contributing a lot in national issues. He is also one of the few new reps who have tangible constituency projects on ground.

Gombe state has at least 8-9 tribes , Hausas inclusive...and it has a large Christian population.

This is why I don't answer all these people complaining about Nigeria from Abroad.

I can't believe Victor who has lived in Canada for about 10yrs now can still reason this way when given opportunity to serve his people.

It baffles me how the people criticizing him failed to understand this. The guy should be praised, not critisized. He is doing it with his own allowance while their representatives are out there giving out all their resources to prostitutes and thieves.

This guy earns over N13 million monthly. If he places these people he calls aides on 50k monthly each, he will still have over N11 million to play with every month - this doesn't include other perks like estacodes and kickbacks from MDAs. The guy is realistic to me. 50k monthly will make a great deal of difference in the life of any person from the area he comes from - it can even take a person out of poverty if prudently managed.

Gombe is not a Muslim or Hausa state. It is a Northern state with many Christians in it.
Katsina, Kano, Sokoto, Jigawa, Kaduna, Bauchi, Adamawa, Sokoto and others all have Christians living there

Every senator and representative has aides allowance given to him, and he or she has the right to choose the number of aides who will share in that allowance. Go and ask your senator and representative how they are using there own.
