It's quite disgusting the way some people reason. The people truly deserve the leaders they have. This is condemnable. It is against ethics and morals. The immediate past governor did the same, SACA has become an easy conduit for them to steal international grants meant for the state. Why his wife?. Some people are saying if she's qualified, why not. I really shake my head in disgust. No wonder Governors in Nigeria feel they have absolute power to ride rough shod on the citizens who they are meant to govern and protect. This should be condemned by everyone with good conscience.

One thing with people is that once they love you, they will always make excuses for you.

This is laudable. Instead of having first Ladies creating unnecessary project that will not be sustained at their exit, they should be given job roles and functions according to their trainings and experiences which they will be accountable to the state.

I’m really amazed nobody is talking about nepotism as regards the appointment. The people who made so much noise about the appointment of Emir Sanusi’s son as ASP two years ago are now rationalizing this nepotistic appointment because Seyi Makinde is their mcm who can do no wrong. The hypocrisy of some Nigerians stinks badly.

There is nothing wrong with this appointment. It simply means that Oyo state AIDS Control Agency is under the direct supervision of the office of the first lady, which I think is commendable, because the basic control of this scourge is more of building a strong family values system and sensitization. The family system we practice from nuclear to society as a whole, we cannot undermine the role of mothers in a family setting in which the office of the first lady stands to represent. In some states, first lady plays a vital role in the affairs of women and youth ministries. Women and youth ministries are more exposed to the threat of AIDS and other related scourges facing humanity at this material time

You people must talk, at least see good in what the guy is doing. This guy to me is doing great, other governor s all they do is to put their wife in constitutionally unrecognised first lady post and be pumping them fat salary, ahhh people won't see that, whether his wife or any one else is there, what ever he wants to do, he will still do it, as for what just do.
