The House of Representatives committee on Public Accounts has commenced probe into the circumstances leading to the improper audit of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) accounts for years. This follows the outcome of a public hearing held by the committee on Monday after a query by the nation’s Auditor General office regarding the finances of the customs service.

The Committee on Public Accounts is investigating series of audit queries raised against the Service between 2013 and 2014 financial years, including an alleged missing N14.8bn from the Service in 2013.

Speaking during the public hearing, the Comptroller General (CG) of Customs, Col. Hamid Ali (Rtd), disclosed that the organisation’s account had not been audited by external auditors for years as there was no approval from the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) to engage their services. The CG, who was represented by an officer in the Service’s finance department, S I Ibrahim, said: “I want to tell this honourable Committee that as we speak, the Service has no audited accounts because we have no approval from the Bureau of Public Procurement, BPP, to engage external auditors. According to him, prior to the introduction of the Treasury Single Accounts (TSA), 28 Commercial banks were collecting revues on behalf of the Service.

You will only find out the load of trillions that have been looted and embezzled under Buhari when an opposition takes over the seat.

You will know PDP was a better devil.

Hmm. Nigeria and all sorts of terrible news. Go to Religious section, you will read how a man of God wants to build a church as big as the entire Ibadan, yet there is poverty among members, unemployment, suicide.. . To Politics section, you will read how billions of naira is growing wings and flying into the air on daily basis, how Senators are now fighting for 20 percent of the entire national budget and scheming how to pocket it when the fate of minimum wage is still hanging in the air and how the FG wants to continue milking the citizens dry all in the name of border closure and increment in VAT that won't be used to fix our seriously dilapidated roads and epileptic power. Go to Family season, you go even fear to marry because na so so bad news everyday you go read. Business and investment sections na so so scam them sabi do.

The only good news is from out of Nigeria where Nigerian Born Fighters, Boxers, musicians, writers and professionals are making us proud. That also has some sadness in it considering the rate at which Nigerians are jailed for offenses ranging from wire fraud to drugs to human trafficking.

Simple.

It doesn't have to be an opposing party, it could be an opposition from within.

Besides, so did PDP think until APC came up with her propaganda.

Islamization actuality ___Buhari, Senate president and CJN are synergizing

The Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, on Monday, gave the clearest indication yet that the Senate would pass a $29.96 billion loan request by President Muhammadu Buhari.

This loan will provide the avenue the Islamists to set up platforms for inflow of Jihadist into the country from the northern borders while the southern borders are denied access to business activities to crumble it economy which will serve as a basis to accepting the Islamic policies to be introduced soon
