2011: Plot to replace Jonathan with Sambo thickens

Even as the coast appears clear for President Goodluck Jonathan to press on with his presidential ambition, there are schemings for Vice President Namadi Sambo to contest for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP ticket instead of the president.

Checks revealed that the Sambo camp is at the centre of the plot for the vice president to replace Jonathan as the official candidate of the PDP.

Sources say that the move to draft Sambo manifested in the vice president’s recent trips to the North, in the course of which he repeatedly presented himself as the candidate the North should trust.
A source said: “Sambo says he is the authentic northern consensus candidate, not Atiku,” adding that the vice president is vigorously pursuing the northern political leadership for support.

It added that Sambo has always said that there is no northern consensus candidate, alleging that it was an attempt to level the ground for himself to emerge as the consensus candidate.

Sambo is believed to be mounting pressure on northern elders to endorse him. Also, his camp is said to be working to get the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) members to revisit the controversial decision on zoning, believing that if zoning is affirmed, Jonathan would rather want him to run for 2011 presidency instead of letting another candidate get the party’s ticket.

The Sun Newspapers!! No1 in comedic journalism! You have to give it to them!

Sometimes you wonder whether these journalists imported their brains from some factory somewhere in Guangdong, China!

Sun is a useless sensational newspaper fit for the dustbin.
How can Sambo run without obtaining a form from the PDP for the presidency
Re: 2011: Plot To Replace Jonathan With Sambo Thickens by Nobody: 9:03am On Dec 04, 2010
if this is true, the PDP& northerners will only stabb themselves. Atiku is more popular tban Sambo which was y they chose him as a consensus candidate ahead of babangida & others. Yet if atiku emergesas Pdp candidate, buhari/ribadu will easily defeat him& PDP

Sensational useless news from the Sun Newspaper. The same news agency who kept publishing some dumb news during the Yar Adua sickness saga, one of such was about the late president to appear in a Jumat service causing unnecessary friction in the polity and also the funny news that the late Yar Adua was seen coming out from his library, recognizing and hugging his mum. They just want to sell and am sure some people on this land( Nairaland) were so eager to read up the caption cos it suits their fantasy.

And some iddiut nigerians will tell you that disunity is only among Igbos. Just wait until Southerners hold on to the presidency for up to 16 years, between South South and South East and lets see if those northerners will not become political jobers/protitutes as most of you nigerians will like to tag Igbo poiticians. Can't you people decipher that Jonathan is only trying to use Sambo (a willing actor) to cause disunity among his people and claim some of their votes? Northerners are united my arsss.

I have only been reading without posting for some days ago

and just chose to add that if you believe this you can believe anything.

1. its a catchy caption for sales one which the sun is known for.
2. those opponents of GEJ in the north will like to insinuate same to break the peace between GEJ and Sambo, so that they may retain the votes that will come from the north due to Sambo.

Nigerian leaders cannot perform until we start applying developed and clean political antiques. Our politicking  is crude.
