I don't think so cos I haven't heard about it's building for some time now and man light in Uyo was good sometime ago now I don't understand again. Oron road wey dey get light has turn upside down the worst is just Nwaniba that one na darkness. But that Brooks street side dey get light bad bad.

I doubt you're from Akwa Ibom because the difference between us and our Efik brothers is like the difference between imo igbo and anambra Igbo or ekiti Yoruba and Oyo yoruba. There is no difference as we all hear each other with ibibio being the central language everyone can understand, an outsider can never differentiate between and ibibio and Oro man or an Annang and Efik man. I'm an ibibio man but I've lived all my life in calabar, other ethnic groups see as as the same people. Please how many times have you reported indecent disposal of refuse to your Local Government authority or how many times do you do sanitation in your immediate environment. We can't keep waiting for the government to do everything. We as the people are the government without us everything has no meaning

I'm not making excuses. like for example where I am living at the moment there's a waste disposal can provided by the government but you still see people dumping refuse on the ground next to the can... how do you blame the government for that. there are cans in the market although not nearly enough. the market authority charges levy but they can use such revenue to support the government in such area??... that's why I said we as a people need to chip in every now and then to help wherever we can

The entire Akwa ibom /Calabar area is one mega city and divided into 6 districts: Calabar West, Calabar East, Calabar North, Calabar South, Calabar Central, Akwa beach .

Zoning laws and buildings codes: West is industrial district, East and South are Commercial districts, Central is administrative district, North is Agriculture, Akwa Beach or Akwa city is entertainment and recreational district with Zoo, Amusement parks, Casino, etc.

All districts are also residential, but will be predominately what they're designated for.

Who ever designed that master plan is dumb!! Yes he is. Why would you use a map of Akwa Ibom State and develop a masterplan to develop Calabar? or (Cross River State)? Who does that? I didnt see any plan in the masterplan for Cross River State? Where is Ogoja? Obubra? Obudu? Ikom? Etc on the plan? Non existent because its Akwa Ibom State map only, in use. If you call the masterplan AkwaCross meaning Akwa Ibom State and Cros River State fused together, wouldnt also fuse their respective maps. Can you build a house without foundations?

I've seen how it is Calabar on certain days but Uyo is worse, much worse. If you have seen how they pile rubbish at Marian market, well that is how they do almost everywhere in Uyo. It is utterly disgusting.

As to people dumping rubbish next to bins, that is a foul habit that should cause people to be fined. Once the authorities start holding people to account the issue will subside. But environmental intergrity is not seen as important in Nigeria, unfortunately.
