There is nothing like Akwa Cross.
that name is a scam created by IPOB miscreants to deceive people.
Akwa Ibom has no affiliation with Calabars, different people, different tribe with different tradition.
Akwa Ibom has Ibibio, Annang and Oro to it's tribes while Calabar has the Efiks to their State
.
Stop mixing us together we are not the same

Totally false!

Those groups you mentioned have more together than separately. They understand their dialects, traditions and whatnot yet you said they are different?! What really is the difference between an Oro man and Efik man? Or between an Ibibio woman and Annang woman? There's no or best little difference. The difference exist between the Efik dominated Calabar residents and Northern Cross River. Anyone who understands Ibibio automatically understands Efik and anyone who understands the language of the Oro people automatically understands both Ibibio, Efik and Annang (IMO, there is no difference amongst the three. Mere ethnic politics make people believe theirs is different). Yet with such understanding, you believe there're no similarities?

All this is a joke. Invest a tenth of the required money in providing basic amenities for the people and see the State transform.

Ha the money to do all that where will it come from abi we don go loan a trillion dollars from China this time. After that self if we build am who go maintain am. Make we forget self. The first five sustainable goals are,

1. No Poverty
2. Zero Hunger
3. Good Health and Well-being
4. Quality Education
5. Gender Equality

Achieve this by investing in bottom to top projects that will cover all indicators of these first five goals and make all beneficial to it. Then you will see transformation.

Where will cross river get all this, only through resource control can this be achieve before 2030, and it can only be done by oil producing States like Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa ibom and Delta. And only if they have good leaders with vision and continuity will this be achieve. Most of what you listed up there have already been achieved by almost all the countries in the European Union, the USA, Canada, Australia, Qatar, Kuwait etc
Believe me,there is something greater than resource control;A sound mind.
Someone who has the "spiritual mind" can achieve these feat in five years.

Akwa Ibom is south South and Niger Deltan and doesn't want have any relation, affiliation or whatsoever with the 5 landlocked states of bia'fraud
You abandon the better truth for a worse lie.

Which one is more true?
Akwacross or south south?

You claim there is no relationship between akwaibom and cross Rivers(two cultural and geographical neighbours) but you are quick to claim south South.

Your reasoning capacity has been damaged by bigotry.

However, OP, while your dreams are big and good for everyone. It's not possible to have infrastructural development without economic growth. Economic growth comes before infrastructure development so that the people can afford to maintain these facilities/amenities with taxes. For instance, there was absolutely no point erecting a gigantic structure for what's known as Four Points Hotel (the name might have been changed) in a town as Ikot Ekpene. Even in Uyo, that hotel won't be filled consistently yet it's in Ikot Ekpene where the GDP is always low and residents are poor just like their counterparts all over Nigeria? Let there be economic growth using revenue generated from the oil wealth. Unfortunately, the oil wealth is being used to construct an ecumenical centre. I deliberately didn't mention Cross River or Calabar as that's already a lost case.

Vision 2040 indeed.

Growing up, I've always wondered why Calabar wasn't merged with Akwa-Ibom since the similarity is quite glaring. The Efiks have basically everything in common with the (Annangs, Ibibio and Oro) domiciled in Akwa-Ibom.
Furthermore, what the heck is AKWACROSS. they'd better stop lumping Akwa-Ibom to their so called master plan which is audio anyway. They should have thought about that before deciding to disintegrate from their brothers.

Now u can u tell me if the above now tell me if the above name is ibibio,Annang,Efik, Oro or eket. I doubt you're from Akwa Ibom because the difference between us and our Efik brothers is like the difference between imo igbo and anambra Igbo or ekiti Yoruba and Oyo yoruba. There is no difference as we all hear each other with ibibio being the central language everyone can understand, an outsider can never differentiate between and ibibio and Oro man or an Annang and Efik man. I'm an ibibio man but I've lived all my life in calabar, other ethnic groups see as as the same people. It's really annoying when I see fellows like u preaching division among us when we need to present a United front to survive in this British contraption called Nigeria. Please be guided and stop preaching division and hate where there is none. We answer the same names, eat the same food, speak the same language with very little variations across the tribes and we have the same culture with little variations too. Stop this division thing, it won't do anyone good going forward
Leave am. Some people that don't even live in akwa ibom will be saying what they don't know for me most of them are similar. Me self I no dey note the difference.

we don't need Akwa-Cross or whatever y'all are calling it. Akwa Ibom on its own can achieve all these... We're only getting started. imagine renaming Akwa Ibom to Calabar north, south, West like are you alright?? Can't the south south coexist together like the UAE with each region developing at its own pace without the need to encroach on another's autonomy??

Don't be narrow minded. You do. They have vast deposits of solid mineral resources, host one of the largest cement factories in Nigeria and steel foundaries in the EPZ. In addition they have a greater bio-diversity, better terra forma and better climatic conditions for agriculture and forestry industries and finally they have vastly superior natural tourism sites.

What they donot have is a natural port and ocean front beaches. I think this developmental marraige proposal model is almost perfect. Wish them the best. Good people, great place to invest. I'm already taking notice.
