I read alot about USA, Canada, Turkey and other countries Visa, threat etc but have not read anything about India Visa etc.... Are there no Nigerians in India or what? How is the hustle like in India? What are the general requirements to get student Visa or the business Visa? Will you advise your guy to travel to India either for studies or business.

Someone with ideas should help me please.

Go to their website and apply or go to their embassy in Nigeria and make enquiries but rest assured work Visa does not exist in India. Yes they can grant you student Visa but that is it, you cannot work while there, you can however do business with them over there and make huge profit or loss as the case may be in business.
They have very good schools and lavish culture, they were colonized by Great Britain too so they speak good English. Also to note is there are very dirty places and slums in India and they rape both men and women their. Just like any other place, if you understand the languages of the locals, they will embrace you and if you dont you may still get lucky but if granted Visa, pls do not get involved in their Hindu/Islamic fights, you will lose 99% of the time.
Lastly, their women are very beautiful but stay away from them.

I applied for an Indian business visa from the UK and I have been waiting for over 2 months to get my visa issued. I was told they are awaiting clearance from their ministry before issuing the visa. Please any suggestions on what I can do or who I can contact to get the clearance issued asap? Thanks

A friend of mind that also applied for India Visa from Nigeria early this month said them told him to wait till middle February 2020 (either for approval or refusal ) and that is the reason I suggest you wait till that middle Feb. 2020 too. However, you can go back to the India embassy there in Uk to ask for an update.

Yes he applied for business Visa. as for the clearance, I don't know anything about it but maybe the country wants to review their immigration policy.

They need to clarify from your business contact in India and Al's to confirm if it's a genuine business entity inviting you hence the need to check with their ministry in India. Did you submit your passport?

My sponsor both here in the UK and India is one of the world's largest companies (head office is in UK, subsidiary is in India) and all it takes is a phone call or email to confirm the invitation letters. Does it take 2 months to reach out to them? I don't think so.

Yes, my passport is with their UK high Commission.

Ooh ok. Well several factors may be involved here. In India, they observe several holidays which might be one of the reasons. Another is means of dispatch of applications for review by the ministry in India ....they might be using courier and have a threshold limit applications must reach before they are dispatched.

Yes I have applied for a business visa once through their high commission in Abuja and tourist visa through their HC in Lagos once. Both were issued but there were delays though and it took up to two months for each.

I know for sure that even for tourist visas, they have a period in a year when its very difficult and unpredictable for them to issue it but its always quicker than the business visa. Infact that was the reason for my applying for the tourist visa.

If you have a British passport, I think its visa-free.

My passport with the visa arrived in the post some days ago.

I applied with a virgin passport (my previous passport had expired and i didn't attach it to the new one) which I guess contributed to the delays as I was been treated like an applicant with zero travel history.

I was advised by a friend to send an email to them attaching all the various work and tourist visas I have received from top countries in the last 10 years as well as various entry and exit stamps. I also attached my confirmed business flight ticket.

I did so and guess what? My passport was out in 2 days.
