Atleast no more excuse and continous cry and whining over SouthWest development, SouthWest Ports would serve Southwest markets and Southwest industry , and economy

and should you remain to continue doing bussiness because Southwest has the most cashflow and highest non oil GDP, then be ready to pay tax through your nose to Alpha Beta

.

And you think this is a stitch in time? Africans have inherent issue on the sense of togetherness. What you seemed to stumble over can only be true with the restructure of economic infrastructure which will require the building of Lagos and Abuja in the defunct Eastern region and Midwestern region respectively.

My friend read and move forward, Nigeria doesn't start and end in West, East has big markets, it's easier for northerners to come to East for their goods than West, go and check the distance from Onitsha to Abuja and Lagos to Abuja, FG is also also constructing road from Anambra to Kogi, when completed distance will reduce from Onitsha to Abuja for just three hours.

Yorubaland is closer to Abuja than Iboland

I use to wonder the type of schools some of you attended. Did you learn cardinal points in the school. Oya look at the Nigerian map and tell me the location of Calabar according to the map. We are discussing internationally recognised terms here biko.

You want to give a certain German captain making his way to Nigerian waters instructions to dock his ship in a port located in south south Nigeria. grin
You go wait tire. In all his schooling and professional life as a captain he has never come across the term "south south" grin

River Niger waterways is more important to North than anything, because that's the only water body that link North to Atlantic Ocean, if Nigeria cease to exist River Niger will be international waterways by international law, Baro port can't function without Onitsha port, both ports are ready to be operational soon, PMB recently appointed Nnewi man as the new head of NIWA, he understand importance of Onitsha river port to us, Onitsha River port is 100% ready, same as Baro port, federal government is constructing major road to Baro in Niger state both ports will be commission soon.

Why are u in shock. While we don't commend Buhari in certain areas like appointment, security and some economic policies like borrowing; u should be objective enough to commend him where he is going well. That's how a liberal mind works. U don't dislike a person by his looks, religion or race, but by the content of his character and conduct.

Hadiza Bala Usman had expressed her desire to see that the eastern ports are reactivated in order to reduce congestion in Lagos. That's one of the reasons that she withheld approval for the Badagry Port (she said that the Lagos pilotage area was already congested and they need to figure out how to reduce the load on Lagos).

However, there are problems that still need to be solved and these are undeveloped infrastructure, shallow water draft, poor road infrastructure and insecurity (as the MD of Hull Blyth Nigeria stated).

You just made one of the most important point some of us have been saying for years on Nairaland to illiterate and tribalist.

This is why I laugh when people say igboland is landlocked. They have no idea what international laws of the sea says. When you tell them to read up on it, they keep refusing. They prefer to keep repeating their sweet lies to themselves.

Empty vessel.

You have made NO point!

We Niger deltans got tired, made complains, we were being marginalized by you igbos in government during Eastern region and finally Gowon divided the fraudulent Eastern region and Western region. Created old Rivers state and Bender state.

You immediately declared Biafra and included we Niger deltans who just got freedom from your Igbo dominated Eastern region, we rejected you people and blocked Port harcourt sea port and you all started dying of hunger.

Now you’re forming we are Easterners with us?? You think we are fools?

How many times have the Yorubas claim Delta and Edo? Have you ever seen them including these two state in their Western issues? Can’t you see how civilized they are?

It is only you igbos with backward reasoning that still think this is 1960s with your Eastern region none sense.

We are have grown above such trick, how can we be Easterners when we rejected Eastern region and requested for our own state old River state made up of Cross rivers,Akwa ibom, Rivers, and Bayelsa? Can’t you see the difference is clear?

Are you tired of being Easterners??

Onne, Port Harcourt, Calabar and Warri are all in that South South. When they call them eastern ports, people like Anambrastson start getting veey excited like the ports are in the south east.

If a Biafra comes like many of you easterners deeply desire, hope you know you will not have even one of these ports in your region??

Onne, Port Harcourt, and Calabar have always been East geographically and culturally. This is confirmed in all the historical accounts of the region. There is nothing like South south until Ekwueme, an Igbo man, muted the idea to Abacha as a political delineation of the minority tribes.

From Onne port to Aba is 45 miles. What exactly is your problem
