That was really a blip on his record. Had it been he had made progress, he would have been a perfect presidential candidate

It think it was a mind game played by the northern hegemony to put a dent on one of the best brain in terms of governance from the southwest. He fell for it and was overwhelmed. But, anyday anytime Fashola is superior upstair to any politician that we have now.

Fashola, with due respect sir, shut up. That's over 7yrs ago and it's now you deem it fit to tell us. We don't want to know what happened in 2013. Please sir, what are you doing about the state of federal roads across the nation that's more like a death trap. No road to Lagos, no road to the east, no road to south-south...etc. If you know how many people die on road accident daily, you'll not climb on that podium and be spilling all that fat-big-bellied lie. embarassed

So you expect the government to open it's mouth and share every piece of classified security information.

It's either you are mad or about to be.

This is a subtle reference to the recent ban on Okada in Lagos state where most of the riders are foreigners pretending to be northerners and poses a great security risk to the state.

Kudos to Sanwoolu for that timely decision. It was a time bomb waiting to go off. Those guys would have over-ran Lagos before security bodies could even respond. We would have been like sitting duck.

It is only who don't understand the security implications of that ban that will be complaining. Anyway, it is those that are alive that can still complain...speaking in parables though.

your head dey there jare, Fashola is just telling Lagosians what Sanwolu has just done foe their security

You didnt need to read the story. You seem to have an amazing story of your own in which you know the status of every highway in the federation and the inside angle that can rightly attribute falsehood to his entire report. All this makes you absolutely fantastic. The type found in comic strips. Now all you need is a catchy name and a super hero outfit.

I am really enthralled by this write up, it help to show we have people in government who understand how government should be run not some idiot who would be issuing audio promise and threat. The only part I felt he didn't touched in the write up is the issue of welfare, recruitment and training which is are cardinal points people the government should focus upon.

There was no way a lawyer and administrator could have made impact in the most corrupt sector that was notorious for defying all solutions. This is because most of the problems with that sector were man made and greed / sabotage based!

That was until Prof Barth Nnaji came and demonstrated a better understanding of the problems even as he addressed the power sector effectively.

But he was frustrated by VP Namadi Sambo (obviously representing some vested interest), and eventually sacked by Jonathan on some trumped up allegation of conflict of interest. After Barth was removed the PHCN staff rejoiced as all the gains on almost uninterrupted power in most parts of the country were completely reversed within a period of 1-6 months. Nigeria went back to the days of hardly any supply coupled with Crazy estimated Billings.

Nigeria missed that crucial opportunity to follow through with the great job the professor had done. Now several events have overtaken the situation and created a stalemate!

That's how hard working the Number 1 citizen was. Well said, the handling and response to that situation was superb. Just like the way he handled Ebola. Under him, Nigerian doctors volunteered to fight the disease abroad.

But Alas we've seen the bureaucracies he has faced as a minister. And the bunch of Hindrances (legislators).

Anyone who says Fashola has not delivered should bring their proof or even bring the solution to the problem of bad roads and electricity.

No be by mouth you know.

And yes security is everyone's business.

I like something about Fashola he has a very sound brain in politics and knowing his way out of tight situations. I believe his aware that it is his good deeds when he was a governor in Lagos that made we Yorubas come out in mass to vote for Buhari. For him to be still relevant ,he needs to create Jobs more for the Yoruba people so we can say we benefited something from this government. Because when Goodluck was in power, he was not a politics oriented person but the igbos enjoyed him through importation and goods exchange rate.
Going forward , for oga Fashola to still be relevant politically he needs to look at more ways to empower the Yoruba child our finish school and no employment.
I want to say he his doing well in his presence appointment. Please Oga Fashola bring more projects to the west especially Lagos ooo.

Mugu-foolishness is when you know the area from where bombs, terrorists and backwardness visit your territory, yet, because of crude oil from another territory nearer your area, you refuse to cut off association from the area where bombs and backwardness come into your area.

Kwontinue to catch bombers in one Nigeria indivisible.

Good to ask him that. Also good to know how much was given to him to do the roads! Money on 2020 budgets is not even enough to pay contractors for work already done buy not yet paid!
If govt want to increase tax, you will shout. If govt want to borrow, you will shout. Yet you want govt to spend money. From where will the money come from?!
