Its not in all cases couples should be aware of all their spouses business. If she told him about it he may have wanted them to live in it free(her hard own sweat).

The inflation is a normal business stuff. You live in a house and for years expect it to be the same rice?

I am not alarmed the woman collected rent for a house she built but since she decided to it, she should have collected half of it and be responsible for the other half since she lives in the same house. That is a pure fraudulent transaction and a court should grant the man all his halves over the period he paid. The wife sees it as pure business and that is how it should be judged.

My point exactly, I know a woman who did that, the difference is she used her 1st son's name and she informed her husband about it. I can imagine the kind of way this particular woman will pressurize her husband whenever the rent is due.

Very true. Either of them can be a very selfish person. What if that was the only contribution the man was making to the family?... then the wife found a way to make him contribute. But then what if she did this out of sheer greed? For the love of money some people would.....
