Buhari aside Nigeria is the most powerful country on the continent of Africa.

Don't be deceived. That US presidents visits and his secretary of state visits less powerful and less important countries near us but ignores us is simply mind games they are trying to play.

They want Nigerians to not realise how imp
ortant and powerful we are.

So they call us shithole
They tell us we cannot defeat BH
The tell us we poverty capital of world
They tour Africa and fail to visit us and make sure we notice.

But Nigeria is too important for them to leave us alone.

They are constantly meddling in our affairs
World Bank is going up and down peddling loans.

Transparency International seems to have made Nigeria their permenant office.

US ambassdors are chasing after governors of our 36 States for meetings.

Also chasing our ministers up and down for meetings.

IMF carry Nigeria economy matter for head.

UN which owned by US carry situation in Nigeria for head.

When we increased cost of visas for US citizens, they carried that matter for head and showed our visas is important to them.

When Nigeria closed its borders IMF took notice and gave it's views meaning US is taking serious interest.

Every few months US makes press release about returning so called "Abacha loot" , it is worth noting that in over 20years of noise about repartriation of loot, nothing has actually been refunded . Also that Abacha was never charged to court and convicted of looting.

So is Nigeria top priority for US? Hell yeah !

At least be honest. The democrats were the ones who blocked the Republicans from questioning the alleged whistle blower.

They were PROTECTING the whistle blower which is required by law. What the hell is wrong with you? Why should whistleblowers be exposed? What then is the point of being a whistleblower?

Nancy Pelosi and Eric Schiff even made it illegal for anyone to mention his name on social media.

Stop being dumb. How can they make it illegal to mention them on social media? Under what law? Can Pelosi make laws? You just swallow any rubbish they feed you on Fox news. You no get brain?

Trump on the other hand used his Executive privilege just like other Presidents including Obama have used it to protect themselves when under investigation. Are you saying it is wrong for Trump to use executive privilege but Obama can do it?

STOP TALKING RUBBISH. If Buhari was under investigation for crimes and he used ''executive privilege'' to block witnesses from testifying, while threatening whistleblowers on twitter and sacking those government workers who testify against him, HOW WOULD YOU REACT? WOULD YOU DEFEND HIM? Hell no! You would abuse him all day and call him every name under the sun!

So how is it ok for Trump to do that?

Talking rubbish about Obama that left power 4 years ago!

Stop watching Fox News and being stupid. That is the propaganda network Trump uses to carry out his criminal activities, while they cover for him. Obama did not commit any of the crimes Trump committed, and never blocked witnesses from testifying against him in any trial, or threaten whistleblowers, so comparing the two is absolute stupidity and ignorance.

The same Trump is providing jobs and security to his people.

Millions of Americans are living hand to mouth, and many are homeless, sleeping under the bridge, while Trump gave a massive tax cut to the billionaire classes. The job growth figures are LOWER than what was achieved by Obama's administration.

So if Trump deserves to be impeached for something ALL world leaders do, how about Buhari that has shielded several of his inner circle who have been caught in one corruption case or the other. I don't want to be extreme but this comment is foolish.

Errmm...''all world leaders'' do NOT extort and bribe foreign leaders to manufacture evidence against their political opponents so as to rig elections. You are extremely foolish, and a crook, to make such an idiotic claim. This is what watching Fox news has done to you. It has turned you into a moral wreck and an imbec.ile who now accepts and excuses executive criminality.

Keep deceiving yourself, all Nigeria is relying on is her past glory. Go and read your history and compare with what she is now. What some silly people on this thread don't know is you are only a threat to America when you begin to develop. Otherwise, they find it easier to impose on you when you make no progress.

No, YOU go and read your FUTURE.

By 2050, Nigeria, currently Africa's largest economy, is projected to become the 3rd most populous nation on earth, after China and India.

That alone will make Nigeria a massive investment destination for world finance. The US knows this. YOU DON'T KNOW, because you don't research anything, and are full of self-hate and inferiority complex.

The US has every reason to consider Nigeria as a growing rival. If you think their policy makers consider Senegal or Togo, or wherever Pompeo is going, as being more 'important' than Nigeria, that just shows you, like your fellow IPOB wastrels, know nothing about world affairs and geopolitics.

More LOW IQ garbage. China shut her borders LITERALLY for nearly a CENTURY up till recently!!! Barring imports of everything in order to develop her self sufficiency. Why do you think most Chinese rode bicycles in the 70s and 80s when Nigerians were driving Mercedes? It was only in the late 80s that she opened up to international trade, after sufficiently gaining manufacturing independence and food self sufficiency. That is the trajectory Nigeria is taking, and rightfully so.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. Ethiopia is a democracy practising some form of the Chinese model, and they are now the 2nd fastest growing economy on earth, after Guyana. 3rd is Rwanda, whose leader, Paul Kagame, is a disciple of Lee Kuan Yew, former leader of Singapore.

The key is to have a strong and determined executive branch of government hellbent on achieving growth.

By the way, it's nice to see that the 3 fastest growing economies on earth are black countries.

To the best of my knowledge Ethiopia practices, some sort of parliamentary, unitary system of Government, and is a very small Economy compared to Nigeria, same as Rwanda, in Nigeria we do not know and understand what we are practicing, follow follow system of Government, Fela already warned us in the 80's as time passes in this democrazy, it will only get worse, 2020 is here, still no electricity, thank you Mr democrazy of the people.

The States of the Federation of Nigeria, is the problem of Nigeria, they have failed to be productive under the Federal System. Why?many of them were never meant to be States in the first place, beggars at best, because they were established by the daft military based on ethnicity, instead of statehood that drives the people to productivity, ever wondered Why in the history of our democrazy, only 1 state has been created by legislation, which was the Midwestern states of 1963, just imagine a State Government says it can pay it's workers, then I ask, what productivity are they bringing to the state in the first place?
when produce abound everywhere in the State for export, in return for foreign currency, Where has ethnicity lead Nigeria to? Nigeria would have been a much better nation, if we has stuck with the 12 states of 1976, and built on nationhood, instead of ethnicity. This democrazy will destroy Nigeria, if it doesn't reform fast.

It was agitation by the Nigerian public that led to the creation of more states. Or are we not a democracy?

That's what the people wanted, and that's what they got. Don't go blaming govt for it. I've no problem with the 36 states as currently constituted. It was a good thing in my view, or else places like Awka, Uyo, Oshogbo, Abakaliki, Yenagoa, Damaturu, Jalingo, Dutse, Lafia etc would still be villages today. More state creation brought development closer to the people.
