Fear of Boko Haram attack has made women and children flee their village and take to lodging in the open in Maiduguri.

People from over 300 households in Kayamla, in the Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State, said they had to flee into Maiduguri when the villages around them were attacked and they felt they might be raided by Boko Haram.

Speaking to our correspondent on Monday morning, the women said their husband sent them into Maiduguri to seek refuge while they stay back in Kayamla.

One of the women, Yagana Mele, on the street beside the NYSC orientation camp in Maiduguri which has been converted to IDPs camp, said, “We have been staying here for about two weeks now, we have no choice but to sleep on the street since we were turned back from the camps.”

She narrated that they decided to flee into Maiduguri when it was becoming apparent that their village might be attacked as others around them had been attacked.

The people had, however, been taken off the streets to the Stadium IDPs camp by the Borno State Emergency Management Agency on Monday afternoon.

The Chairperson of BOSEMA, Hajiya Yabawa Kolo, said as soon as the state government got to know of their predicaments it arranged accommodation for them at the Stadium IDPs camp.

She revealed that they were about 300 households and numbered over 1,000.

Too bad that BUHARI led APC governemnt ha destroyed Nigeria beyond repair .

No pity felt here tho, because we warned Nigerians against reinforcing a failure like buhari and his APC for a second term .

What a shame of colossal proportion that even as the entire security architecture of the country is being populated and run by a section of the country they are still incapable of bringing lasting peace and security to their region and the country as a whole.

This goes to show that nepotism, tribalism and fanaticism isn't the way to lead a nation in the 21st century.

If I become the president of Nigeria for example, I will initiate a birth control policy in the North.

If they like they should revolt, we will make sure we scatter everything in the country because the more they keep having this population explosion the more issue they will face in the future.

How I wish someone like Buhari who they respected implemented this in 2015/2016. Initially they might think it is bad, but they will praise the effort in the future.

Also, I am of a different school of thought that polygamy itself does not always lead to population increase like we thought. However the main issue is the ideology of giving birth and the inability for a larger part of the population to embark on family planning or some form of limited birth.

If the North don’t solve the issue of people giving birth too much without the means to care for them, a bigger monster is coming in the future that will actually be bigger than Boko-Haram.

It hurts me that Borno state whose slogan is the “Home of Peace” is now a home of terror.

I hope God that gives peace alleviate the suffering the people of the NE are going through.

Amen!

Shame on Buhari
Shame on Buratai and other Service Chiefs
Shame all those Northern elites that love power more than the safety of their people

Let the revolution start from the North because Northeners seem to be the ones feeling this insecurity the most.

Let them take to the street both old and young
Let them sacrifice their lives for the future of their unborn children

They should be violent in their protest against their Government and the Military
They should come together in one voice

It is a pity that majority of them are illiterate and their elites take advantage of that to manipulate and brainwash them to believe and adhere to whatever they want or say.

It is a pity

They should enjoy their sleep in the street.

When they trooped out in their thousands as early as 1am on the election day to reinforce failure, they never thought this will happen.

Besides, the streets is not even safe, cos Shekau can always come there and wreck his havoc.

lipsrsealed I wish obasanjo was the president from 2007 to 2015, if only we knew his suceessors in the persons yaradua and GEj would be too weak to nip these terrorism in the bud, we might excuse yaradua due to frequent illnesses but GEj was just clueless in responding to the situation, now this evil have grown beyond control, if only we knew we would have given him third term, this government is still not doing enough

Shame on the dictator

The same ones gave him mandate to return so they should bear it...

So they housed BUBU only to end up homeless... What an irony of sanity

But I thought they said they relocated a proxy of Nigeria Army headquarter to Borno and still news like this is still surfacing..

Where the one billion that was approved for purchase of weapons..

Shame
Shame
Shame

During the weak Goodluck that will remain blessed, the mata was not as severe as this.. Now in Lagos, for the fear of like attack, lagosians are groaning, southwest don't trust him anymore and has decided to secure themselves... But it will surprise you that this same BUBU will influence them to vote his man come next election... Mumu people
