onitscha was a big market back then....

if it was not because of the civil war, onitscha would have catched up with lagos....

Joke of the century. Onitsha was and is a prosperous city. To say it will rival Lagos is sheer fantasy.

Igbo and igboland no Dey carry last. No way however do I see any of your cities overtaking Lagos or Port Harcourt.

That however does not mean their laggards. If Nigeria was ever to become an advanced country, igboland land may become the Germany of Nigeria

I’m yet to see any concerted effort at landscaping any of these projects we’re seeing in Ebonyi! They may give the excuse that the jobs are not finished, but seeing the stage some of them have reached, you’d have expected to at least see the beginnings of the effort! The ecumenical centre for instance has been finished, but asides the fountain not much in the way of landscaping can be seen in its location!

Landscaping, green grass and aesthetics are not Nigerian things. That's why our buildings and projects looks like one big concrete mould.

No innovation in building design. The same concrete works all around. What stops the contractor from using a monopitch roof design and do away with those useless pillars in front of the shops supporting the roofs?

We are not creative when it comes to innovative building design.

The problem is sustainability. Just hope they will find a suitable successor to Umahi who would do even more than he has done.
Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru the current Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly is the right man for the job.

The fear of Igbo domination was the remote cause of the war. In 1948, Chief Nnamdi Azikiwe at the Igbo State Union, spoke about the ”god of the Igbo” eventually giving them the leadership of Nigeria and Africa.

Doesn't this falsehood sound stupid to you??

you are just a foolish idiot looking for cheap attention. Next time call someone that calls you. I'm not in for any tribal e-fight. Whatever you are or you have in your region, just keep it to yourself.

How much par shop, is it going to be in reach of the poor? or only the rich people will occupy it as it is in all the estate built by the Enugu state government where an empty land was sold between 25 to 30 million par plot.

I hope so. Though in my opinion prof Chukwu the commissioner for finance will do a better job it the problem is that he is from the same zone with the governor.
