Political commentator , Reno Omokri , has criticized Buhari for trying to compensate repentant Boko Haram members but didn’t see it necessary to compensate businesses men who lost capital and goods in fire outbreak in Onitsha market .

“ Onitsa Market Traders, who pay taxes, lost everything they owned in a fire. I begged General Buhari to compensate them. He did NOTHING. Boko Haram, who kill innocent civilians, claim they have repented and the same Buhari gives them EVERYTHING. Does Nigeria have justice? How can we treat citizens who contribute in such a shoddy manner, and treat those who destroy in such a godly fashion. What is the incentive to be a good citizen in Nigeria? Is General Buhari indirectly asking those Onitsa traders to behave like Boko Haram before they can be treated decently?“
