The Longest Trial
Written by Uchenna Eze, it is a 404-paged rare African classic set between 1984/85. Critics consider it one of the finest fictional writings in recent times. In the hands of the right producer, critics consider it a filmmaker's golden goose. Its riveting contents and its ability to become a movie awards sweepstakes should make producers fall on each other for its production rights.

The Story
When on a rainy morning of June 1985, a little girl still fresh from surviving a deadly religious violence in the North makes an unusual appearance, she does it as a stranger at a sleepy community in the East. She had endured 72 hours of agonising train ride with the corpses of her three older sisters, their mother and a certain unidentified stranger. Waking up to the horror of her family’s battered corpses at an abandoned railway station opens up a new chapter in her journey. As her difficulties mount, she must keep up with the scorching challenges of existing in a community where her status as a powerful little witch sharpens the murderous edge of folks’ peaking resentments. With every odd stacked against her, she must either survive a series of daunting trials to keep up with life, or accept the verdicts she gets. One of such verdicts is the task of surviving a federal government-sponsored team of elite assassins sent to take her down. To make the most prized kill of their careers, the same assassins must however get past the desperate, murderous whims of a feared, American psychopathic doctor called Frazer who at all costs, needs her alive for a strange reason.
