We are having a generation of people now who seem to think stuff online should be free. Be it music, video, software etc.

But i wonder why the youtube channels 'Nollywoodlove' and 'Iroko Partners' are complaining to youtube about the uploaders? I, personally, think it's just about their own business and not their 'love' for Nollywood! Otherwise, why would they be busy uploading the same movies they're asking Youtube to pull down?

Sony's software policy (please look it up) states that you are not allowed to make any modification to the software, and it was particular about "by pass" "dumping" It is part of the end user agreement and policy etc,

They may have the backing of the "producers and Actors body" in naija, while others probably don't. The whole thing is a complex area as copyright laws with regards to IP and what not can be complex and may not be existence in some case (in naija)

No resonable producer will upload his movies, produced with his hard earned money, on youtube!

You know, if it was about banning the upload of free nollywood movies on youtube, it would be a different case entirely, but in this case, those doing the banning are doing exactly the same thing. That was why i said, it's all about BUSINESS, advertising and gaining customers via youtube. Most of the movies uploaded by 'Iroko Partners' and 'NollywoodLove' are incomplete. So you have to visit their website to buy the others parts of the movies.

'Iroko Partners' and 'NollywoodLove' only care aboout their own businesses!

There is nothing wrong with watching the movies free of charge.
A good movie will still sell irrespective.
That is why I am advocating a socialist type of goevrnment; under socialism, we wiill all be watching movies free of charge

Youtube is not a socialist system. It is there to make money and have rules and regulation. Those infinging on copy rights via uploading unauthorised video are breaking regulations and rules, so youtube is doing the right thing by removing them.

So David Beckham, YaYa Toure, Bill Gates etc are one of the most highest earners in their profession, I suppose because of this, let us not pay to watch them play or Pirate every copy of Windows 7 that we can find?

These guys did not invest shi shi into their education, did not study the industry; pretty much, they woke up, joined the industry, monopolised it with their African magic, and bula, they are making millions while zillions of professionals are roaming the street aimlessly. A little bit of fariness here my guy. What they produce is absolute nonsense. Same theme, same plot, same face day in, day out

They do not deserve the lifestyle they enjoy, looking at the quality and content of the crap they produce. It is sheer wickedness on their part to go after those youtube uploaders. The people watching it are  not going to buy it in the first place. i watch it whenever I am homesick and feel like hearing some Yoruba, not necessarily because I love it. What they should do is that they should  prevent it from been bradcasted/watchable in Nigeria, and allow the rest rest of the world, especillay the Nigerians in the west, have access to it. A little bit of public service , thats what we are asking for.
