Some of you will keep blaming the Nigerian Army, but if you have never been to Maiduguri before, please just shut up already. The Nigerian Army is still one of the strongest in the world, don't be deceived by politics. Ask yourself, wasn't it the same army that went on so many peacekeeping missions around the world and performed excellently. wasn't it the same army that Obasanjo's administration used in crushing any excesses by any region. The major problem by the present Nigerian Army is POLITICS AND NOT COMBAT. I was in Maiduguri during the onset of the boko haram crisis. It took the Army few days to capture Mohammed Yusuf (boko haram founder), the army handed him over to the police, and the police came up with the most useless excuse ever, Mohammed Yusuf was trying to run away and they shut him. how can Mohammed Yusuf run away from a beehive of policemen? He was shot because he was going to call names of his sponsors in government, so therefore, they needed to eliminate the guy. Back in Maiduguri then, an incident happened that soldiers who were in front of a certain boy's secondary school got a call from their chief commandant that they should relocate from that checkpoint, 10 minutes after they left, boko boiz came in, picked up several of the students and went with them, so many of them. During this period, i noticed and researched so many cases where the discrepancies and fishy incidents in the army was so glaring that you can tell this is a coy to sabotage the combatants. A certain time, over 30 soldier trucks were on a mission to the Boko zone in the dead of the night, the operation was so secretive that nobody knew about it, the Governor wasn't informed also. Just when they were approaching the Boko zone, a massive explosion went in the air, blowing up so many of the soldiers, the point is, an insider informed the Boko boiz, who is this insider? the Bosses, because must of these soldiers are not northerners, so they will never sabotage each other, why will they leak the information about their own operations?? Also, if you come in as a very powerful commandant and you are working hard and getting results to eliminate the boko boiz, you will be transferred in no time out of Bornu or Yobe. A certain time in Maiduguri, a soldier got fed up about the politics in the army, he was furious as to why his colleagues were been ambushed, who is leaking our secrets, this guy went to an intersection road at Monday market and started shutting in the air, shouting and asking for the head of his bosses, it took the intervention of his colleagues to push him down and collect his weapon. They know about the evils but can't speak up because of fear of court-martial. I can go one and one about the evil and politics in the Nigerian Army/Government. But to those who care to listen, the Nigerian Army will crush Boko in few weeks, i am 100% confident about that, any war or turbulent in any country or city that last more than a month, someone in government has a hand in it. The Nigerian Army will defeat the Boko boiz if politics were to be eliminated, Nigerians are made to believe that the Army is weak, that is a blatant lie, Niger (CHAD) was able to defeat Boko because the government there is sincere, Nigerian Army is %1000 stronger than the Niger Army, also, I have seen the Nigerian Army at work in Bornu state, they are vampires seeking for blood, their only problem is the politics in the Army, why keep weapons from them, why sabotage intelligence information, why overlook strategic plans and cancel it, why purchase weapon and keep in the arms room why why why If you think the Nigerian Army with the full support of the government, without any politics won't defeat Boko Haram, then you must have a mental issue or you're simply delusional. to be continued.......... |

Senseless war, can't the military locate the boko haram hideout and flush them out? The truth is that northerners are in support of boko haram. Hope they pardon Shekau and elect him as their governor in future. Since they all defend them. Imagine the armoured tankers they got from China, that one will be wasting in the storage area. |

mofedamijo: Our military is very strong. The problem is that they are following orders not to use force on the boko haram. Go and see how government is influencing the crises in Sudan. If not for the educated southerners, by now Nigeria might become like a war zone. |
